I like Nick. Ray is about to have an interesting semester. Glad to see this new story from you. I'm always in awe of your storytelling. What will they transform into?

I've been reading since Knightly Duties and I've noticed a drastic improvement in writing quality since the first chapter. The characters in this series are much more fleshed out have greater involvement in moving the plot forwards. The way you handled Gil's corruption was like a rollercoaster, and while I totally predicted he would go back of his own volition without the brainwashing it was handled masterfully with the Chekov's gun you set up in the first chapter. I'm hoping to see more of Rudy as he seemed to be the most conflicted in the end despite being the character driven most strongly by his libido.

@[Beenisweenis](/user/show/10009100) Thank you for following my work! Aside from additional writing experience, unlike Knightly Duties which was originally meant to be a short two-part erotica about a family's joint descent into depravity, the fact that this series has been planned out from the beginning also helps. I'm honestly surprised that, according to the comments I receive, Rudy emerges as the favourite. I thought that the spot would go to either Pete or Ralf. Feedback like this works wonder to help me better understand my readers' interest.

@[Pcm](/user/show/10039396) He's the most interesting character to me and I think he has the most potential scenarios for future head-canon. Aside from Gil, he's the brother with the most troubled past with him having to quell potential disputes of inheritance through personal sacrifice. His love for Ruby opens up a path of redemption but at the cost of even greater self-sacrifice. He's the least fearful of the King and, if this extends to the Primal Beast, he'd likely be the one to start potential conflicts for the sake of his own personal beliefs. Also I just like the bro energy he exudes.

@[Beenisweenis](/user/show/10009100) Now I'm split if I should let him make an appearance in future stories and risk ruining people's headcanon or instead reintroduce his less popular brothers. Bro energy for the win!

@[Pcm](/user/show/10039396) As fun as it is to speculate about characters, I don't think it's a healthy mindset to be afraid of ruining someone else's headcanon of a series that you yourself wrote. People will have expectations and wishes for your characters regardless. I have some ideas for their fate (mostly tragic ones) but I'll be more than pleased by whatever you come up for them given the quality of what you've already written. I'm sure others would feel the same.

@[Beenisweenis](/user/show/10009100) Thanks! Personally, I kinda want to shine the spotlight on the other brothers as well, but nevertheless, the focus in future stories will be on new characters, perhaps with a tie to old ones. I'm actually very impressed (and pleased) reading about people's headcanon (which usually leans more towards the tragic side? Not sure why though.) It may not directly dictate how the story unfolds, but it allows me to reflect on the character in a way that I would not have otherwise.

@[Pcm](/user/show/10039396) The corruption and brainwashing aspect lends itself to tragedy especially with the subject matter and the tone of the story. Every actor in this story was manipulated using their better traits and they end up being different people in service to an eldritch horror. It's hard to see that as anything but a tragedy. In regards to Rudy and Ruby's relationship I have a difficult time seeing as anything but a tragic love story if they were both truly love eachother, but one would have a bittersweet ending. I actually liked the dynamic enough to spend my day cleaning the house concocting a fan fiction of it. I won't share it in public but if you want I can private message you it because I'm bored.

I really enjoyed this story! Kinda wish we could've seen Greg and Victor's sex scene. Also, It would be awesome is there was a sequel, like the guys make Ollie touch a cursed item or some random other guys or police officiers find the warehouse later.

@Person Just Browsing that would be great

@[Person Just Browsing](/user/show/10002259) A very hot idea to have homophobic police officers find the warehouse. One could become a leather daddy bear type and lots of options for the others.

Heat in the comment section!! That’s a new one. …good? I guess? Who doesn’t want a bit of passion here and there? Just remember we’re all on the same side, and that side is “this is a successful series by our pal Naedre, and let’s not sully an author’s work by squabbling in the comment section of that work.” If y’all wanna go verbal fisty cuffs there’s already several venues for that; PMs, the site’s forum, the site chat rooms, or even discord!

@[The Dirty Spiders](/user/show/571676) I agree, the comment section of someone's chapters is not the place for that kind of discussion.

A brilliant two chapters so far, very worthy of commendation! Your writing, your characters, the way the story flows naturally all work together very well. Great work, and a very strong contender for this challenge prompt!
