Dear Rando, The answer to the first question will depend solely on the person answering the question, and even then you never know it they are being trueful or not. Also, their answer might change over time, once opinions aren't set in stone after all. To me, it wouldn't really matter as I feel a story like this will always make someone look bad. By swapping ethnicities, you'll just change whom the story is racist to. That being said, the story has racist elements in my eyes. White people in this story are viewed in a very negative lens. If those negative things were solely linked to Dylan, it would be a different story, but alas the story doesn't do that. While it is nice that is does challenge some stereotypes about black people (which I personally think (and hope) not many people believe), it does do it in an rather arrogant way. That being said, there are probably also stories similar to this one where the rolls are reversed and that would be just as wrong. If you want acknowledgment about racism to white people, you'll most likely not find many people here whom are willing to acknowledge that, but rest assured there are people (both those of colour and those "colourless") whom do acknowledge this, although these people will also admit that there are white people whom are racist. I personally that anyone belonging to one ethnic group can be racist to another ethnic group (and sometimes even their own group). There are white people whom are racist and there are black people whom are racist, and this also applies to all other ethnic groups. History does play a role in why one is acknowledged less than the other, although that is mostly because certain people don't want to look back further than a certain amount of time, or because they don't want to admit that their ancestors did things, they aren't proud of nowadays. There isn't a single group who has a 100% clean history, but some people would rather point fingers to others then look at their own dark pages. That aside, history tends to lump a bunch of people together, acting like a 100% of the people did something even if it was only 10%. You'll probably notice that if you use "social" media as well. If you look at the tf community in Tumblr, it would seem as if white and black people in America can never get along. While there are people for which this is the case there are also people to whom this doesn't apply. There are black and white people whom are happily married and those whom are friend, but do you think they'll write about that. I personally don't enjoy this story, but then I rarely enjoy stories that focus on domination and submission and the times I do, it's mostly because it only plays a small role. I've already written quite a bit more than I wanted, so I'm going to stop soon. In short, I would think this story would be racist no matter whom it was written about, and that you most likely won't find the acknowledgment you seek here. PS English isn't my native language, so sorry for any spelling and or grammar mistakes.
