I've only now found this story, and let me just say: WOW. You're writing skills are amazing. I could feel Kyle's agony as if it was mine, and even though the content is tough I couldn't take my eyes off of this story. I feel so bad for Kyle. I don't know if I could have hold on for so long. While I doubt it, I do hope he will get at least some of his old body back. I guess I'll find out real soon as the next part has already been posted, but I still had to write my thoughts on this part.

@Reader Thanks for your kind words! I can’t promise everything will work out the way you hope, but I can promise a resolution. And I’m a sucker for a happy ending… sort of.

@[Lloyd Irving](/user/show/346316) I have to admit, I didn't expect receiving a reply on an old story, and I'm really happy that you did. Anyway, I finished reading the story! I rambled on and on in the other comment section, so all I'll say here is WOW!

just noticed from rereading: it seems that colour is a large motif in this series, and i'm very interested in how Jamie has permanently shifted to the gold of 013 :3 let's see who's next!

Poor Petey just doesn't know who to trust. Hope when all is said and done he grows into his own.

On a more general note: I get why authors want comments and engagement, but also, some of my favorite stories on this site have had little commentary. It's not an indicator of your quality or anyone else's whether someone has something to say afterwards, imo. (Though I'm glad people started engaging over time here obviously). Especially for older hidden gems on the site. I often feel like I've found buried treasure, discovering a story written a decade ago here with no comments.

@[DaymionMC](/user/show/10033419) It’s actually, to me, less about quality and more about the desire to see my work as _seen_. When I get a comment I’m most excited when it notices things I was attempting to communicate. I see my art as successful when it gets across what I was trying to get across. Comments tell me “we, the audience, we picked up what you were putting down”. If that makes sense!

What if in an alternate ending Danny had succumbed to the temptation and desires of revenge and had made David his slave?
