I’ll start by commenting, hoping I haven’t before, on how much Nu’s writing has improved. There is so much character development in this story, and it’s so well done. I love Linden’s Throne, but this story is so much smoother and the character beats tug so much harder on the right part of my feels. I love the character development in this story as a whole, but especially this chapter in particular. Freddy working through his feelings and figuring himself out, and confronting his feelings and the things he’s been ignoring, is great and relatable. And it was satisfying to see Freddy confront some truths about himself. I’ve been waiting for that and wanting it for a few chapters at least now. Reminds me of an argument between two married characters on Succession recently. It was really cathartic. Besides the Freddy of it all, Uri revealing some really big shit about himself, and not reflecting on it at all, is also great. And then Uri, in predictable Uri fashion, makes a stupid wish that eliminates even the possibility of Freddy actually even proving that he likes Uri. So now he didn’t get what he really wanted and was scared to ask for, and he’s made his own prophecy true, because how is Freddy going to forgive this? Pretending that Nu didn’t have a happy ending in mind. Speaking of happy endings… Freddy having his agency taken away wasn’t horrifying to me because a) it was really hot b) he finds it really hot and doesn’t have enough time to dwell on it because of the pheromones and c) I’m confident that Nu has a happy ending in mind and that’s what Freddy’s wish is going to result in. Bryant being there is going to change things. Bryant being a room mate now is going to change things. I actually love character assassination stories. It’s a guilty pleasure, but only works for me if I know the character’s destroyed can reclaim their identity, or if the characters are so shallow that I don’t care about them. In this story, Nu balanced things perfectly so that I care about Freddy and it felt like maybe he’s fucked (being not fucked) but I’m so confident that his wish at the end will change things for all of them in a positive way that I’m not bothered at all by Freddy’s sudden change into a himbo. Ok, besides all of that, or partially because of it, it was an incredibly hot chapter again. Freddy getting checked out by guys when walking around in the Tom of Finland outfit is hot. Then him getting turned on thinking about it and jerking off in the changing room, is hot. Then getting turned into a fuck machine stud top, is hot. Even his reaction to Bryant showing up and trying to be honest with Bryant but unable to stop himself from being happy and excited about fucking Uri some more, is hot. I’m very eager to read the next and final chapter. I am deliberately not guessing at what Freddy’s wish was, so that I’m surprised by it. I’m excited to see how all 3 of the roommates end up. I’m also not saying I expect more, but I am excited to think that this might not be the last thing that Nu writes and that he’ll still write more stories as good as or better than this. I’m am very happy this was continued and done so well. I am interested in anything Nu writes but this is definitely my favorite so far.

I absolutely loved the first half of this. Freddy's journey of self discovery, untangling which things were his fault and which were the rock's, and the way you could see him regaining control. Made the whole journey worth it. Uri is the antagonist, and the type of guy a lot of people know in real life and dislike, but seeing him feel inferior to a literal dildo does a great job of showing his interiority and making him sympathetic, right before he does something absolutely monstrous and selfish. He comes off as Sex obsessed, but i think that's a combination of enjoying it, bottom daze cutting his anxieties, and viewing it as the only thing people like about him. So he turns himself into the ideal bottom, hoping that earns him love. I still don't like him (which isn't necessary) but i how he can come to the same self discovery as Freddy and find happiness.
