This is really interesting, and it’s made me rethink why some stories really work or don’t work for me, despite being superficially similar. And I think that’s given me a better understanding of my own tastes. I understand why your self/others split is based on the more objective criteria of who the protagonist is, but as a reader I definitely care much more about that fuzzier idea of whether the character I identify with is changing or not. Being the protagonist is an important factor in that, of course, but I don’t think it’s the only one.

This is so hot and well written. I love the slow burn as Jeremiah’s clothes get skimpier and sluttier :)

Also, I kind of felt sorry for Rhoda at first, but as whatknife said it was just too funny when she started wearing a sack and joined a monastery.

@R P Thank you! And not to worry, I'm sure Rhoda is now just as spiritually fulfilled as Jeremiah is... otherwise fulfilled.

Another fantastic chapter, as usual. The move to roll back their individuality was particularly perverse and hot.

Someone needs to be a rubber master here, either James needs to become one or one needs to show up. 😂

In the end, this was an amazing chapter AND quite hot. The insidious way in which Atlas has been made to feel about injecting Gizmo and turning him, knowing there is no way he won't because it's his duty as a good father. Can't wait for chapter 3!

I love the easy-going, natural sexuality that flows through this. As Heru said, no one has been made into an idiot, and that is a huge plus in my book. The "milk scene" read like something from an X-rated sitcom, and your world-building is as solid as ever. While incest isn't my bag of tricks, everything else in here surely is.
