A deeply intriguing chapter. The pack seems to be shattered, but is there a chance to regroup? Cardinal Chavez and King Ted do not seem to be on the same wavelength- Chavez doesn't want Ted to get his paws on Yousef. Why? What does Ted have planned for Yousef that he would find so objectionable. A long-awaited smackdown between Ruiz and the scheming Toddson- "I can't wait to see how *this turns out!"

@[ParadoxBear](/user/show/10002417) So much to get through in the three remaining chapters! Thank you for sticking with me!

Oh no! Bill and the pack are paying for his spell to trap Nando, aren’t they? The scene with Ray in prayer was both hot and moving. Love it all!

@[Furrybttm40](/user/show/10010813) I improved Ray’s prayers some, based on feedback. Give it a re-read. And there will be a lot more to come on that narrative thread in the next chapter. Cardinal Chavez will want to bring Ray further into the fold, but is Ray already ahead of him?

Also, I am curious- how exactly are these alphas just going to tear up the place and run off? Wouldn't somebody well...notice? Or is that covered under magic? And as Tom said....are all the alphas who were there guilty? Or not? Yousef is absolutely enraged but he needs to calm down. Meanwhile poor Frank in all of this is just...forgotten. I know we'll be seeing him again. As for Yousef's visions....oh I don't like the sound of them. Did one of them have them running through the park? And Oakley....now really is not the time to shoot your stuff. Please don't. Then again, at least he means well. Our protagonists do need that much. Honestly the fact that pack politics are so violent and the fact that they chuck people into the park...honestly it's fascinating how they all haven't done infighting so badly they've all become non-sapient. Like what is stopping them from just...combusting on a mass scale into conflicts? Clearly coups and wolf kings can get deposed like nothing else. Even here we're seeing scheming against the king. And then there's that hunter....they're up to something. Honestly, I can't even blame said hunter at this point. Werewolves seem to just uniquely be really unstable and dangerous compared to other weres. Oakley does not seem anywhere near as wonky at times. On the other hand....something tells me these hunters go after more than just weres.

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) I LIKE that werewolves are unstable. Perfect, these creatures are not. I see them as the anti-vampire; wait five hundred years for revenge? Howling Hell! A werewolf cannot wait five minutes!! They’re not completely animals, but they’re not completely men either. I like how their bestial nature makes their society unstable, messy, & volitile. And I hope you do too ;-)

For several chapters, I've been confidently saying how there was no going back for Nick. Too many past cases of how guys change after coming out of their brainwashing. And yet, here I am, proven wrong again. Henry's and Nick's connection was a solid play. I had thought it gone when Kurt 'remade' Nick. Yet it works. With that and how Nick brought himself down gave Henry a roadmap to putting him back together. And that back and forth on who controlled who between the three of them was a thrill to read. I also enjoyed the use of that hood with the dildo attachment. And the use of the headset. Heck, if given a bit more time, Henry might have succumbed to the headset and gave in. Especially with Kurt's open offer. Or how Kurt really played into having Henry be the 'pet'. Quite the tantalizing catch 22. But ultimately, I feel...not sure if its disappointment or conflicted or both with Nick's revival. Perhaps I just enjoyed seeing him as the dumb jock slave. Or even the relationship he had with Kurt as Master and slave. Or how it seems he is fully restored without any residual backlash (yet). And maybe that just hasn't been revealed yet. It just feels too good guy true with the lose of a master and slave dynamic I enjoy reading about. Though this does leave me wondering about Kurt. With the lose of Nick's memories, that just leaves his own and Tri-Hard's. And with Kurt losing a lot of know how, what can he still do? Or that his supposed ally took that from him. And if Kurt knows about the link between the two heroes, then can he not realize how he is being played? Or not exploit that himself.

@[Marik29](/user/show/10021139) Thank you for such a,... detailed comment! haha! I'm glad you enjoyed what transpired, even if it was bittersweet from your perspective. I know you enjoyed Nick's time with Kurt as much as I enjoyed writing it, but he couldn't stay that way forever. Does this mean he's back to 'normal',... no. He has all his memories back now and his love for Kurt has been quashed, but he also has his memories of serving Kurt in his head still. We'll see how he handles that later but, to clarify, Nick isn't back to 100% so easily. As for Kurt; yes, **Tri-Hard**'s memories were erased from his mind and Nick's were taken too. He's back to being 'just Kurt'. Henry's manipulations have made him forget what he has lost, with Kurt thinking Henry must have shown him how to work the villain's base. Maybe he'll see through his new programming,... we'll have to see!

Yeah....well Bill managed to mess everything up. I so wonder what he's wondering was going to happen- that everything would be fine? They've lost a pack member, their home is gone, and now they're being hunted. Lovely. I do think he's not making it out of this in a good state once the truth comes out. He clearly is staying mum. How long will that last though...I think Paul is going to start noticing things. Also, Toddson really needs to stop playing hardball. Does he want Yousef dead or what? Clearly he wants him for himself but boy did he not think anything through. Mullins is well...Mullins I guess. Paul at least is getting more acclimated to things, hopefully he isn't going to face worse. Ray really must have been feeling the stirrings badly but also he must really like Father Chavez. To confuse him as being god in that moment. Also, I'd have thought Ray would know god in christian tradition doesn't really...take consorts. I mean...unless we want to metaphorically assume Mary as one. But that's metaphorical. Anyway. It seems Father Chavez has saved Mo and Ray but for his own ends...and he's also trying to keep Yousef for himself as well. Seems like pack politics are about to blow. And it seems Father Chavez wishes to take Ray as his apprentice in a fashion. Perhaps Ray and Alpha Spencer (was that his name) can perhaps get away from all this madness. Or Spencer is wrecking the gym right now...

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) I added some edits (now published) to make it more clear Ray’s wolfish brain increasingly is conflating / blending the Christian God with older deities (Zeus, Odin) who were VERY Randy indeed with their mortal male followers. I hope that will clarify my intentions. Didn’t mean to confuse.
