Once again, very impressive, and I’m not just talking about how long it is. I read this pretty much when it first came out but life has been a bit too hectic for me to have time to sit down and write out my thoughts. I’m sure you can’t relate ;) First off, I was really impressed with how you handled the character of Tyler. He was a total d-bag who got screwed over by his own reality change and then got stuck and felt as much remorse as he was capable. The whole concept of being unable to go home and the video game scene in particular really made me feel for him for about 5 seconds before you reminded us he is still basically an egocentric prick. I also appreciate how Tyler Taylor sounds like a name you lifted from a classic comic book which is pretty on theme for the last few chapters. I read through some of the comments above for this chapter and I noticed that you said Tyler’s part in this story is mostly done. That actually surprised me given that Marc’s edit says that it takes a whole team of superheroes to keep Sam safe from “bad guys like Tyler”. To me this totally sets up the reality where Tyler may not have a magic Midas dick, but is instead a super intelligent, non-super-powered, villain. I feel like there were even several mentions in the dialogue of him specifically “not trying to take over the world” which seemed like the perfect set up. But moving on to the rest of the Marc edit, I swear I’m really spinning my wheels trying to figure out how creating a new super-gang makes everyone suddenly wear fluffy bathrobes!!! Obviously Marc is a member, Gabe is 99% in too since he’s basically a superhero already at this point, and I’m guessing the group is going to be rounded out with at least Teddy and Freddy since we know they live close enough to “nextdoor” to share a bathroom. There’s literally no reason as to why the entire floor couldn’t be included in this change except for it being a headache to write. I think one more person being on the super team and Marc’s new roommate to even out the team at 5 would be good but I don’t know if we have any more known characters beyond Danny or maybe Kevin to choose from (not sure if another ‘straight’ bottom detracting from all focus from Sam would be a good thing or not anyway). The black suits got some light shed on them. They are clearly not real and seem to be the result of a previous edit that went along the lines of, ‘I wish this sextoy could make whole people like sextoys who do whatever I say’. The ring leader is a “truly ancient man” who hangs around the Humanities Building and wears clashing tweed who was possibly the writer of that edit. Older people have sex too folks. His goal seems to maybe catch someone talking about the textbook and recording it because maybe that will jog his own memory of it so he can then act on it. Not sure if this is yet another reality changer who lost the book or the opposing force to the female faculty. Just gotta wait and see. I loved how you got me out of nowhere with making Sam’s parents way hotter due to his use of the word “genetically” in his attractiveness edit! Additionally, since the edit about San Amaro straight boys and their butts had no sort of timeline, and since you’ve set the precedent that edits are retroactive, Sam’s dad being affected by this too was very clever (admittedly not yet confirmed but a really strong hunch on my part). When I first read the chapter, I thought Gabe’s edit about DILFs and students getting together not being gay would lead to action with Sam and Marc’s dad (Mr. Magnussen) who due to the genetic aspect of Gabe’s Dom-Top change, is also reaping the benefits. But no, Gabe’s edit specificies just “gay college students” which made me a little sad but to be honest, as hot as the sex scenes were with Tyler and Sam (and I mean like DAMN!), it didn’t give me the satisfaction that would come with Sam getting with Marc or even Gabe. Another hook up with yet another freshly introduced character just because of an edit may very well lead to similar feelings. And we still have Marc who I’ve always felt is a personified puppy who just happens to be hung like a whale and jacked as F. His love of dogs through the dialogue, his social media AND him specifically including it in his first reality edit (pets are allowed in the dorm) makes me think it’s part of his new superpower or the weakness. I just can’t get the idea of him being a big ol’ cuddly dog out of my head. Not sure if that’s what you are trying to set up, but I’m kind of picturing the new super hero group being ‘normal’ ridiculously attractive gay male undergrads by day, and each of them a different breed of dog either for fun or to recharge their powers in their down time. I think it would be especially funny if whenever Marc doesn’t keep a handle on his powers and summons thunder and lightning, he actually scares himself and retreats and hides like a real dog during a thunderstorm. I felt like I had to think of a new weakness for him since Tyler no longer has a magic dick to ensnare him like I thought would happen in a previous prediction. So, from the comments above it seems we’re going to get to focus on Gabe for once! Very exciting, particularly as Sam’s dad is still in town for the weekend. I would also love to finally get an insight into what exactly all of Gabes changes are since thus far we’ve only seen the effects. Predictions: As I said before, I predict Gabe, Teddy and Freddy are going to be the new superheroes and their powers may have something to do with dogs. Thinking of those damn bathrobes so much made me come to the theory that the shawls all the female teachers wear actually protects them from the reality changes. Milo is Marc’s dad and both him and Silas have also been affected by any genetic edit thus far. I feel like with Tyler gone, the black suits and Methuselah are definitely going to be the antagonists, though the boys seem to make plenty of problems for themselves all on their own. Finally, Sam. Who apparently got to experience amazing sex and then went back to being an anal virgin but still retains the shadow memories of what it was like. I predict that him now knowing how good it feels to actually have sex with a guy will make him want to try it with Gabe or Marc. I’m leaning towards them at least having a threesome in the story if not ending up as a thrupple (and oh my God google docs doesn’t think thrupple is a misspelling… what a world we live in). To that end, I’m half convinced at this point that someone is just going to edit Sam’s last name to be ‘Straight’ so that he can finally enjoy being gay and totally straight at the same time (Sam Straight also a total comic book name). Keep up the awesome work to all involved!
