I really love this series. I dig the pacing and I dig how you're slowly but surely developing the world.

Im glad he was nice to nice dudes. This is totally sexy by the way. I totally think that him making comments that apply to say homophobic commentors would be hot.

This story is incredibly hot, and I love it as erotica (even though I'm not a big fan of personality erasure). But as a former submariner (U.S.) I have an intense urge to nit-pick! I will resist the urge to do so, as it is a near worthless exercise. But it did get me to thinking just how freaking hard it would be to actually impersonate a submariner. The sheer density of our internal lingo and the massive number of tiny little details, any one of which getting wrong instantly betrays you to someone who knows. One commenter pointed out that the COB wouldn't have gone to Annapolis (which is true, but only a submariner would know that - the rest of the Navy doesn't even have the COB position and most sailors wouldn't even know what that is). And that's actually one of the easier ones! Of course the COB would *never* be nicknamed "Bull", but only a submariner would know that. In reality, "Bull" is the given nickname to the senior enlisted nuke - not an official position like COB, but such a venerated unofficial position that no COB would ever risk offending him that way. But I promised not to nit-pick! Truly, I enjoyed the story it was super hot and I loved the characters (sad that they get erased at the end though).

I was on the edge of my seat with the assumption that this was going to be another one of those insanely cruel "false hope" endings. I ended up loving it. It was sad and bittersweet. Erik, despite his faults, was a real hero in the end. I still kind of wish he had strangled Ken instead. But I'm glad Liam and Ben sued the fuck out of the *University of Total Lack of Ethics in Research.*

Interesting direction. I'm curious to see how long our protagonist can use his powers "for good" before temptation corrupts him into humiliating his targets once more. That's kind of the direction Dare Me More is going for a while.

The Milgram experiment was super sketchy, btw. It turns out that many of his subjects were not convinced by the deception, and by a large (statistically significant) degree if they didn't believe they were actually shocking a real person they went ahead with the experiment, while a majority (over 50%) of people who actually believed they were administering shocks to a living person eventually refused to go further and expressed defiance. Milgram declined to include this little fact in his famous (infamous) study.
