I hope more prescriptions are given out by the doctor.

Duuude, I thought for sure this was gonna be the big exposition dump chapter, you're blueballing me here! (Yes I'm a sicko who gets off to PLOT and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, don't kinkshame me). Also I hope I'm just reading into things too much, but if those "humanity" references in Freedog's conversion were supposed to be a dig against my comment from a couple chapters ago, we might need to have words

@Anonymous Don't worry; they weren't. **Freedom's** idea of his 'humanity' became a scapegoat as he 'fought' the brain drain. He sacrificed it in order to absolve himself of giving in and enjoying what was being done to him. Sure, he was pushed towards that very conclusion by Hank's words, but it was a welcome escape he was more than happy to dive into!

@[Blazargus](/user/show/10012784) Would you say that you deliberately set up Carl as a mirror/foil to Henry? I'm reminded of an image from several chapters back where Henry saw himself as "split" into Duty Boy and Super Bitch(to me, representing his heroic and civilian halves, respectively). It seems like the key divergence between Henry and Carl is that Henry chose his humanity, whereas Carl chose "duty." The thing that *really* gets me going is the ironic outcomes of their decisions: in dogmatically refusing to give up his ideals, Carl actually ends up turning into a complete subversion of everything he stood for(the part where, even having accepted his slave status, he continues to try and rationalize Tri-Hard as the righteous Master and Nick just some demented pervert was especially twisted/fun). Meanwhile, Henry, who used his "enslavement" as an excuse to destroy his heroic image and vent his repressed frustration, is actually in a much better position to do something good with his powers, if he chooses to. And I hope he does! Seeing his heroic instincts kick in when he saw his Mas -- I mean boyf -- I mean Owner in trouble gave me warm fuzzies; I think part of him really does want to help people, but it just got all twisted up because of the constant pressure from his dad. He needed to throw that off temporarily to heal, but I think Henry will only be truly "complete" when his two halves are reunited under one purpose.

@Anonymous To answer your question; yes. The pair are both opposites and the same. I'm very happy to see how deeply you've analyzed all of this!

@[Blazargus](/user/show/10012784) But also to what extent will Mom have in that decision making? She is about to take a larger role as she steps into the limelight. She clearly understood the more underlining 'tendencies' of her husband. And therefore how that would likely repeat in her son. Henry has the potential to still be a hero. Maybe a rubber hero? He has some decisions to make. And so does Nick in conjunction with both Mom and Henry. And I am curious if his developing interest in rubber is more personal or something he wants for Henry? A lot of big choices laying ahead while dealing with Tri-Hard.

@[Marik29](/user/show/10021139) There are definitely many choices coming up for our heroes. There's more of Sarah and the boys in the next chapter, but there's a bigger focus on someone else,... (Apologies to all for the slower than normal progress, my health is always bad around this time of year.)

@Anonymous Funny how you describe Carl refusing to give up his ideals as 'DOGmatically'...

@[Niko](/user/show/992975) -_- Now I know how other people feel when I do this to them,... _Thanks!_ :p

@[Niko](/user/show/992975) Yeah that was intentional lol Unfortunately I fell out of love with this series after the sequel was released, in particular after a comment made a couple months ago. It's such a shame; I really liked Henry and Nick's dynamic.

This was a slow burn but I’m so glad I stuck with it. Great stuff. I’d love if you leaned more into the physical description of this new body, and how each guy feels about sharing these new parts with his best bros

Why raid the gym when you still have 12 guys left you captured to experiment on, including poor Lee, who we've not heard from for a while now...?

@[Niko](/user/show/992975) When was 12 guys ever enough for anyone,..? ;) As for Lee, he hasn't gone far. A few more chapters and you'll see him again!
