I happen to favor superhero stories, although many of them fall short. This one does not. I enjoyed chapter 7, especially when GL was forced to explain the device that blitzed him to his criminal wardens. Initially I was not so enthused with the latter part of the chapter 7. However, I agree with the others that chapter 8 was far and above the best so far. Although I enjoyed GL being used sexually in the cab, the inner conflict with the "old" GL and the "new" GL was erotically exciting. The back and forth struggle was the high point of the chapter. I also like the idea of pairing GL with another superhero or cop. The ongoing humiliation of GL is exciting. I favor keeping him masculine and muscular rather than having him get fat. I also favor having him naked or in his recalibrated uniform over him wearing women's undergarments. That is a preference, not a complaint. You are doing wonderfully well, and I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the good work.

@Hypnothrill I've been reading your work for five years, love. I should hope I'd have picked up a few things by now! ;p And there are definitely some funny moments! I think you could make the case, though, that Zane being the protagonist makes it *scarier.* Seeing Nick be subsumed by the bland, mindless, "All-American Boy" archetype is definitely scary, but at the very least he would go down fighting and shows awareness of the issues at hand. But Zane is apathetic and only concerned with his OWN desires ("Yeah, I guess that sucks, but what can I do?"). I think that is a whole lot scarier--because not caring is a path that leads people to actually be "transformed" into doing what others want. As for the "Chad attraction"--I'm not going to lie, I find frat guys like this attractive, too. But I think there's a very real correlation between what you say about the "physical ideal" and white supremacy. This notion of white, muscular, square-jawed MAN as the ultimate fantasy for all men (gays want them, straights want to be them) is the result of 300+ years of Western society carefully cultivating an image via every form of media, while using similar propaganda to dehumanize other races and cast whiteness in a utopian light. And like it or not, we're ALL affected by that cultivation. Propaganda and culture affects us all... Thanks for the story and the discourse! :)

You know me too well, Feed Your Head! It's subtle in this first part, but there is a lot of political commentary in this story, and the racial aspects of the transformation are meant to be creepy AF. In a way, I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too, because I do find myself physically attracted to the "Chad" archetype I'm describing, but I'm also disturbed by the way that physical "ideal" overlaps with the discourse of white supremacy. But I'm pulling my punches a bit; if I told the story from the perspective of Nick (the most politically aware character), it would be a straight-up horror story. However, Zane is so oblivious that there are many comic moments in this story. Just keep reading, and you'll see!

Ooh, a classic Hypnothrill political commentary story. No one does those better! Although I can already feel the creepy factor working on this one--the gradual transformation of EVERY man into a white, blond, blue-eyed clone...echoes of "Aryan perfection" here. Brrrr. Let's see what happens next...oh, hell, we KNOW what happens next, but it's still going to be great! :D

There is a story on this site, an old one, that has guys named Chad. It's not the same at Hyp-thrill's, but the description of the hot guys triggered a memory of that story. Chad -- mmmm!!!!
