Aww, it got sweet at the end! That's part of what I love about your stories, Naedre. It can be hot as fuck and then there's a kindness to them at the end.

Maybe not canon, but definitely worth the trip. 🫡 an intimate duet, rising and falling like breathing, no explosions or crises, just getting enlightened on a road trip back to school under the stars. sweet. FWIW, I _love_ long chapters. the sax motif from Careless Whisper is in my mind's ear now..

This chapter was so sweet. Every time I see Rocky and Colt together, I get all emotional and happy. I love romance. And even though this chapter is not canon, it gives a good idea of what might happen. This thing about Leviathan still using the weakened connection with Rocky to try to plant ideas and commands in his mind is worrying, but it also has great potential to make things even more interesting. Personally, I really like this aspect of the internal struggle between the person's will and the commands planted in their mind. I'm excited to know that we'll still get a bit of that in the next part. Well. Maybe it won't be as fun for Rocky, but at least now he has a handsome and brave boyfriend to fight alongside him. He's so lucky. I think everyone would like to have a Colt in their life. Even Velocity wants a Colt in his life, and the two have never even met (Stay away from Colt, hypnotized Velocity, he's already Rocky's. Unfortunately, you'll have to settle for the sociopathic villain for now). Who knows, maybe even Leviathan wants a Colt in his life (That would be kind of funny lol). Jokes aside, I hope everything is going well for you, Jazz. I can't wait to read the conclusion of this story, and to know what other stories you plan to write in the future.

@[Gatuno](/user/show/10021894) Thank you...I will say it will be five parts at least. I'm done with part four and we ain't to the end! I'm just working on cleaning it up now. Thanks for the kind words, this hasn't gotten the likes or whatever it is I hoped, but the comments have been AMAZING and really make the effort worthwhile! Thank you again! I am very appreciative!

Another enjoyable chapter only marred (for probably me only) of the gratuitous mention of everyone's favorite, (but mine) Sammy Sue. haha

Why did his name keep changing from Nate to Lucas?

I had an earlier comment on this story, but deleted it because it was way too harsh (I wrote it while in a horrible mood). I’m going to try to voice my concern WITHOUT being a massive jerk. To me, there’s a heavy irony/sad humor to this story, because it so perfectly represents the dangers and struggles of artists and AI: it features a member of a community struggling with, and ultimately succumbing to, the temptation to use a quick fix that produces instant results, but ultimately reduces the affected “product” (be it a person or a story) into a mass-produced object that looks beautiful/ideal, yet has no substance or depth. More and more people give in thanks to relentless pressure, and the tale ends with the idea that no one is safe. But the irony is that the story *was generated by AI.* It’s a dark commentary on the dangers of artificial intelligence written by artificial intelligence. And even if that is the point, it’s the same issue as buying products from a troublesome company “ironically”—your money is still going to them, just as the use of AI is still damaging to the environment regardless of how it’s used. Like Thom said, I am deeply opposed to AI—because even when it’s fed material by one specific and consenting artist (as opposed to scraping the art of countless artists without credit), the environmental damage is ENORMOUS. After the fires in Los Angeles and with other climate disasters becoming commonplace, I can’t stop thinking about how much water and land the computer serves that host AI use. How much water will thirteen stories take? We the audience bear some of the blame, too—by constantly pressuring artists to produce more, we urge them to use AI as a solution. You’re one of my favorite authors, Hypnothrill, and I’ve been reading your stories for nearly a decade now. I can’t speak for anyone else, but as for myself, I’d rather wait another year for a story that YOU write as opposed to your using AI to create, well, clones. Those are my thoughts, such as they are. Thank you for reading them.

@[Feed Your Head](/user/show/1170832) I have very mixed feelings about the use of AI myself, and you raise good points about the environmental costs (although I genuinely have no idea where the energy cost of writing 13 AI-generated stories stacks up relative to other activities I do online, like spending an hour on GSS, or having GSS host all my stories on their server day-in-day-out). I guess part of my feeling about AI is that we're not going to get the genie back in the bottle. In which case, the priority becomes, "How can we use AI _better_?" How can we use it in more ethical ways and in more artistically inventive ways? So that's what I'm attempting here, a kind of cubist story in which we get 13 windows into the same mass enslavement event--a story that I would never have the time or patience to write on my own.
