Yeah, we're all waiting for Eric. And it sounds like Ken is not concerned with finding an "antidote" or way to reverse things.

@Feed Your Head: even if you're not, now you've seen the "punishment" for guessing wrong I've been suspicious of Theo for a while, but Jen and Theo are a couple. Maybe they're in it together.

I agree, while there is nothing explicitly sexual in this story, it's still quite sensual. I really like it. I was also wondering if you were going to return to Montana Jackson. I thought it was a fun, sexy pastiche on Indiana Jones and would love to see you continue it.

I thought this was great--really spooky, and even though there's technically "No Sex," it's also very sexy.

Mental regression isn't an aspect of hypnosis I've ever felt drawn to, and yet your story's managed to enthrall me with the idea. I think I know where this is going, and I'm eager for the next chapter - amazing work!

...oop. While Jen is still a good guess, I took a look back at Theo's crime description: "you do not exert physical violence to assert your intolerance, but you rather attack psychologically your victims. The shameful names and stereotypes you call them instead of the proper ones make them all the more vulnerable to others who would act brutally." I feel like such a goon--because this is *exactly what's been happening.* Theo's waged a psychological campaign against the others by separating; the teens have been transforming into various stereotypes; and the actions throughout the night are making the victims literally vulnerable to those "acting brutally"--monsters! Perhaps the TRUE red herring in the chapter is Theo's supposed confusion about the cape fragment (perhaps he was the one who appeared in the breaker room when Asher went down to first check on it; it lines up with his leaving the shed). You really are a great writer, Bigger, because it seems super apparent now that I re-read it! Now I guess we'll see if I am right. :p

A red herring swallowed one, then there were three...I must say, if Victor doesn't end up receiving some horrific punishment at the end of the story, I'll be an unhappy camper. :p Thank you for the warning about the violence--seeing Victor act in such a homophobic way hit very close to home (because, although this is a grim fantasy, there are too many people in the real world who think that way). I also applaud you for calling Victor out as deluded! On a lighter note, Matt's line--"you definitely guessed wrong"--suggests that perhaps Jen is the impostor; maybe they had some "girl talk." Next up we go to the zoo to meet a bear...

It is a beautiful and haunting horror story where society goes tragically wrong but oh so hot. Great!
