I wonder if Ken is somehow messing with Eric too or he's just a such a perv. I also wonder if there is a way to get Ben and Liam back to normal when the experiment's over or if it's something permanent. Like, it's so hot but feels so wrong to leave them like that at the same time.

Oh I know your story very well. I **LOVE** that story. Thanks for it! :) I guess I always thought it could use a little more personality change to goody-goody. However, the "sophisticated Country Club" version is great, too, no doubt. As I said, same umbrella for me. I guess I more think of the Dilton type growing up into the Country Club type, if that makes sense. And I prefer writing the teen/twenty-something (younger) set of the spectrum, so that's why my characters behave in that fashion. (heh) And for the record, anything other than preppy qualifies as "bad boy" >:)

I've just got a very different impression of "preppy," I guess. Hypnothrill - Both Dilton and English aristocrat fall under the same umbrella/character type for me. And no, not a 'short hand'....preppy is preppy... and skater is skater.... I've been into this idea for about 35 years now. For me those types just also happen to mean that one is "good" and the other is "bad" :)

Hey, it's your fantasy, and you should write what turns you on. For me, however, there was a weird disconnect between the two main discourses in the second half of the story. You were listing all those brand names (e.g. Ralph Lauren), which made me think of the iconography of the brands (and their preppy, but quite athletic and masculine models). And then you had the dialogue, in which William sometimes sounded like a 1950s-style nerd (like Dilton in the old Archie comics) and sometimes sounded like an English aristocrat out of an old Noel Coward play. I think you're probably using "preppy" as a shorthand for "good boy" and "skater" as a shorthand for "bad boy," but for me, the term "preppy" and the clothing brands you describe just conjures up a very different character type.

And yes, I was going for a "180" contrast of sorts so as to make the transformation extreme. If by out of character you mean the prep wouldn't suddenly face-fuck a skater, I saw it as he realizes that he must be a good boy because his Sir wants him to. Plus if he doesn't do it, he will lose (let's say about) six walk-in closets worth of wardrobe from every major preppy brand. Just think about that - not just a few pairs of loafers but every style in every color from every company. The entire set of colors and types of polos and all the colors and shades of chinos from every single preppy manufactuer. Not to mention an array of ties, bow ties, blazers, cable knit sweaters - all of every and each... WAY too much to pass up. It's not like he had to murder someone for it which a good preppy boy would surely not do. He just had to face-fuck a skater, once. For when he next has sex with this boy it will be his overly preppy pal Jareth. If you meant that a preppy boy wouldn't 'suddenly' be gay, it's a straight-to-gay fantasy :) If you meant it another some other way, sorry to disappoint. It's just how I see the whole process.
