He's still him, with substantially more power. > Also, an absence that seems slightly concerning… where did the Variants go? > They were there the whole time, honest, kneeling quietly by Joe. They were too afraid to do their usual antics.

A couple more thoughts that occurred to me: is Lt. Johnson a Warrior-Guard now, or is he some sort of lesser morph? Also, interesting that Johnson can enthrall his own men. Or perhaps the positioning of the hands is simply a universal gesture that binds a Host and a symbiont to the will of the man who does it to him? Also, an absence that seems slightly concerning... *where did the Variants go?*

You bastard. I was cheering for Rugby Boy to crush the plant with his new muscle until the last moment.

I thought it was poignant. It got a small, sad smile out of me- right before I went back to jerking off. I think it's a perfect microcosm of humanity's situation: we might go kicking and screaming, but in the end, we're all going to slip our dicks in plants. It remains to be seen how long Rugby Boy stays full of piss and vinegar- I have a feeling the Deputy can change that right quick. And as I suspected, everything comes down to Rugby Boy and Snake...

What a chapter! I love that Rugby Boy went down fighting--his cry of "Long live humanity!" as the Symbiont entered him was a perfect act of defiance. Plus the fact that he didn't immediately fall under the Great One's thrall is intriguing, as is the fact that the Deputy Great One seems directly opposed to the Kansas Great One...it seems as though the actors have taken their places for the grand finale. So, quiet on the set! Lights! Camera! ACTION.

You monster. That was great. My dick instantly started leaking the instant you described the plant in the room. Part of me was hoping that Rugby Boy might manage to get out of it, that a last-minute declaration of love would save the day. But realistically, there was no way he was going to be able to resist Snake's psychic control, or that Snake was going to be able to disobey a direct command from the Deputy. My heart was thumping in my chest as you described Rugby Boy slip his dick into the flower. Since starting to write this comment, I've already blown two loads over that scene. Amazing stuff, Absman. Naturally, Rugby Boy feels betrayed. And I think he has every right to be, especially given how much Snake promised to protect him from the plants. And now Rugby Boy is going to confront the Deputy and Lane. One final moment of peril for Rugby Boy. Will the Deputy use his powers to bring Rugby Boy under his thrall? Will he command Lane or Snake to dispose of a rebellious Host? If either one of those, will Snake find it within himself to rebel and save Rugby Boy, the two of them fugitives from both Great Ones? One more chapter... Oh, and that was certainly *not* the confession I was expecting from Rugby Boy, lol.
