It's a bit of a selective kink, but I've always liked seeing big, well-endowed, muscular and hairy men (Stereotypical virile alpha types, basically.), turned into dumb, submissive fuck-beasts, always horny, and ready to breed or be bred. If I was to get even more specific, I like when those men are sweaty and musky, and have a muscle-gut or beer-gut, while muscular everywhere else. So suffice to say, reading this story hit all my buttons, especially since both of the "animals" in the story were my type. The parts where they describe the barkeep's outfit (Nice reference to Aladdin's monkey by the way.), along with his ape-like behaviour, and degeneration from a person with a seemingly paternalistic personality, to a dumb, horny gorilla-like one, was extremely hot; Just imagining a jovial daddy-type bar-keeper/innkeeper, turned into an obedient, big-dicked chimp, just did it for me. And Sygg was a perfect addition, not only as a sexual counterpart to Brallin in the story, but as a character overall. He was a stoic, no-nonsense guy, a experience mercenary sell-sword who wasn't fighting bandits out of some noble purpose, but for money. But he was also cautious and experienced enough to know how dangerous seemingly innocent people can be, and was on guard. But even as he was being slowly worn-down, he didn't lose his sarcastic attitude. Overall, I really enjoyed this story, as it hit all my kinks (The whole covered in sweat and musk, along with the rimming.), some of which I didn't even know I had (Who knew I had a thing for muscle-bear daddies brainwashed into believing they were horny monkey's?). One of my favorite parts was when the bandit leader ordered Brallin to "grind your organ for me. Show me how a proper ape dances.", and mafe Brallin jerk himself off as his butt was eaten out by Sygg, while marching/dancing in place. The blend of comedy and debasement apparent in the situation was really something else. I really look forward to seeing if the story will get continued, with Sygg and Brallin, or "Ass" and "Chimp", put into more dirty and twisted situations. I also hope Tom writes a prequel for the story, depicting the brainwashing of Brallin, since it would be especially hot to see the bard Edric making him into a horny "Chimp".

Although spanking isn't one of my fetishes, I loved the romance between Lock and Sawyer and enjoyed this story immensely. Thanks for writing.

The Variants remind me of how often times, in video games, enemy forces will have special units or mini-bosses who have special abilities that the enemy's grunts don't have. Gives me an idea for a Pollination spin-off that's more erotic action than erotic horror. I second the idea of a Super Variant who combines their powers. A Host like that could be the villain of his own story all on his own! Even if the Variants don't make it to Book III, maybe there are some wild-breed Variants wondering around in the world...

In book 3 let the new Variant symbiote emerge from the flower like an over bloated muscular cabbage patch kid. (my sister would have passed on that doll.) Can the great one manipulate the plant so that one love struck gym bunny after another can get sucked into the bloom. Or more than one bloom per testicular shaped root bulb.
