As one of the guys who was not in favor of Dumbing Down, I enjoyed the story. Just coming off the end of Lovecraft Country, I see the story as speaking into being the changes the character goes through; the changes are through the various versions of the Dumbed down character motif. I myself have a story idea akin to this, but it's more one character actually reads and experiences the stories on the site. I could go on about what a metaphor really is and isn't, citing Paul Ricoeur, George Lakoff, and other philosophers and linguists in my library, but I'll leave that to the forum if the time should come. As to my dislike of the Dumbing Down motif, I still am not a fan of it. I want to write characters that have some degree of autonomy and engagement with the mind control and that will always put me at odds with the Dumbing Down motif. But it doesn't stop me from recognizing talent and a good story and that's what we have here.

@Plymouth58 Thanks very much! I just followed the different aspects of it that the forum thread posters laid out. @Bush41 - Oh man, was it subtle?! I was hoping to really give props to some of the best authors on this site! @Feed Your Head - You're very welcome. Thanks for reading! @Cris Kane - It was a struggle to only pick one of yours. @Blank Rasa - Me too! I was worried that people were gonna think I leaned too much on other work. Glad to see it's being taken in the spirit I meant to give it.

For a moment I was hoping to finally see the tables turn and a truck rider as the victim but oh well.

Oh yeah, I am not worried in a sort of sit back and think on it level, but more of a "wait, ugh, stop with thinking your son is an alpha, he's not" as I am reading the story perspective. hehe I do hope that while the shame might go away he doesn't destroy the man's mind, I like them as thinking beings and I like them knowing its incest - but maybe finding it okay or acceptable or just too sexy to not give into and do. As I said, Michael having a wave of pleasure as he obeyed was awesome. I like that. And yeah, I agree. If Michael was a good guy "look dad, don't call Dan a fag, its not right" I would not support making him into a bitch. Buuut seeing how nasty they are - including having beaten up gay man - I totally think they deserve a comupance. Just enough they submit but not enough that they get awakward attention and their business fails. hehe I still think the third brother being gay or bi our straight but subby and so completely happy with submitting would be fun. And I def think Michael becoming a subby wanton muscle bitch would be fun. Love this story and series. Really love it.

@Erratic101. It took some chapters but finally Bob is finding his place. I'm glad that you like it. @BobbyBlobfish. I'm aware that there's plenty of ways to know who are the authors of the challenge but I do what I can to promote those stories. Also it's fun to avoid spoilers. About Dan help, there's a lot of ways he could change Bob. Like you said, he can take his shame away, or make him forget that Michael is his son, turn him into a mindless sexslave or simple fix his suggestion to only love sucking Dan's cock. The possibilities are endless. @Heru Kane. I don't think that Dan would like to share his Alpha status with someone like Michael, so I don't think it will be a problem. The best part of read and write about assholes it's that when they are "punished" it's so satisfying and you can go further without feeling guilty. As always I enjoy your comments.

I expected this to just be a gimmick story, but it turned out to be a delightful - and very hot - original contribution to the genre it's commenting on.
