whatwhat starts as a very easy stock setting gets filled with character and as such sucks me in it makes me interested in what's going on watching the guy operate and getting to feel of what it is he can do whether it's he's just that charismatic and good at playing and reading people or he's got actual ability. add add in the settingso it feels more robust and we're actually engaging with it obviously things are being set up for excitement later period but I appreciate going that extra mile even if it is just us set up for sex. after all plenty of full stories are setups for their genre or delight such as we want to get to the fireworks factory or the space battles or the one-on-one duel between these two guys but that doesn't mean that we want to neglect setting up their motives capabilities virtues and characteristics that will drive them into a conflict the the same is going for a little romantic adventure I I honestly don't even know why I gave this a try butbut I'm glad I did and I hope your quality both keeps up and you continue to feel encouraged to contribute

I enjoyed the story; a breath of fresh air in comparison to a lot of work focusing on revenge, personal gain, or abuse. Thank you.

Oh my god Derek, I read this and thought "Am I getting some "Hell is the Absence of God" vibes? No way, I'm being absurd... I'm fabricating a connection that isn't there..." I'm so charmed to discover that the connection actually was there all along! And, honestly, I'm just delighted that there's now a Ted Chiang-inspired erotica on this website. Like, *finally.*

@Ruffcub Thanks man! This is just a weird little vignette that popped into my head a couple days ago when I saw someone in the Discord say the word 'bystander' about something. I doubt it's going anywhere, but if a broader story in the universe tells itself, I'll write it down. @Hypnothrill - Thanks man - I don't know the Limerick story you're talking about. I was thinking a lot about Ted Chiang's story "Hell is the Absence of God" when I wrote it. @anons - Thank you sirs! Always appreciate hearing when someone enjoyed it.

While this story is very well written I'm left trying to figure out what it has to do, so far in the two parts posted, with most of its tags or the overall theme of this board?
