That one guy

i just... feel sad after reading all these. I think what makes it sad rather than hot is that Tom didn't do anything to provoke the blackmail and he's just miserable the entire time as his life gets destroyed. i hope the ending is a bit happier with him either enjoying everything or with Jay finally laying off him.

> Actually, Derek, thank you. You’ve given me an opportunity to do a WRITING 101 blurb, something I’ve been looking for the excuse to talk about since I’ve started reposting this series. Thanks for posting that, it’s interesting. I definitely structure my multi-chapter stories to feel like satisfying conclusions, then add a tag to lead towards the next chapter. Definitely not as compelling as what you’ve done here. I don’t know how we’d do it, but sometimes I think that a couple dozen of the authors on this site should get together and write ‘how it’s written’ style pieces to talk about aspects of their work. I think it’d be a fascinating read, especially in a niche genre like this. Which is to say - anything else you’re hoping someone will comment on? I’d love to hear whatever thoughts you’re burning to share about writing.

you’ll take Prince for a wife—or maybe your slave. After that line I'll just let my erection lead the way.

>Also, this chapter has a fantastic title. > Hahaha -- very Monty Python, no? Thanks, I think I'm good at titles. And I have fun with sub-titles...

> Not to say this isn’t a dream come true for Strong or many of the readers (myself included), but man does this guy need a hug and a pat on the back. > Let me first say that your analysis is excellent! I agree that Brad seems largely benign, and in his defense (tho you don't know it yet), next chapter he gives Strong some good advice that Strong would be wise to take. > (its all very noir actually, and I’m curious if that’s on purpose.) > I was initially trying to confuse the reader about what was real and what wasn't. Was Strong really being mind-controlled? Was it simple motivational cues or something more insidious? I didn't want a clear answer until much later in the story. If there's one thing I do well, it's create an air of paranoia (see CYCLE ONE). Noir makes me sound artsy. Thank you!

So just going to put this out there, I'd buy a physical copy of this story. Though I'm sure I'll end up getting some pages stuck together.
