I liked the ideas of obliviousness to the true action, and standardized prrograms; A more in-depth description of the induction process would make it even hotter... I want to see where this goes.

I loved that Nathan didn’t end up with the ring. Nice subversion of expectations. The slow progression was very very nice.

Ha ha ha! What a great, funny story--and I saw the Growing Pains reference, too. Fantastic!

Yet another great story to add to your collection. as other have said a teaching aid as well for the up and coming writers on here. the parts of the story that i enjoyed was when Ethan and his fellow nerds went to Coach Embry class to ask that they can get an excuse to get out of that scuba diving class this afternoon and 45 mins later the coach returns in a skintight black rubber wetsuit and when Ethan asked about the assignment the reply was with a contemptuous sneer spread across Coach Embry’s handsome face, “No. Freedom is no longer important. also the part where Scott returns from scuba diving with bits of hos wetsuit showing.......i did think Ethan's conversion might have been more of a struggle but liked the end result......and the cliff hanger at the end where Ethan needs to get his father to become a convert of Zindar...maybe the school needs to expand the scuba lesions to the fathers - thank you for the story

Love the premise of a gifting app being used to transform and subvert. A satire on guys who have Amazon wishlists for people to buy them stuff?
