I like the switch between the Dr's POV and the subject's POV. Though I agree with Hypnothrill that it would be nice to get back to the subject's point of view as the transformation continues through to completion. I hope that will happen in further installments. It is great to read the different versions of what is happening, to underscore the "perception vs reality discrepancy" phenomenon that is so arousing (at least to me) in transformation stories. It is also fun to read that the Dr. is developing some personal interest in this subject. Bottom line, I can totally relate to this subject and this story. I totally want to be in it, and The subject and I have some similarities, so for me, its a great story. I hope there is more to come. Keep up the great work.

What a sweet little story. :) And it has transformation/brain-drain, too, which are some of my favorites! I wish I could find an enchanted stream like that...

Derek, I suppose Jared's motives could be viewed as purely malevolent and selfish, but the friendship between the guys felt genuine to me, and the narrator's acceptance of what happened to him didn't feel forced.
