My prediction is that erasing Joe's memory - which was done rather altruistically by Nathan - will mean he's erased the knowledge that would prompt Joe to save him or fight for him/against Todd. And then that will have a tragic result, both for Nathan and, ironically, for Joe.

I wrote out a longer reply to your comment regarding Dylan and the serum, nycboot, then I realized I was probably giving away spoilers for the finale. So I'm not going to reply to you after all :-) I will try to upload the final chapter in the next few hours. Thanks to everyone who has stuck with the story to the end!

I guess we shall see tomorrow what happens at the big show down. I'm glad Joe is back to his regular self or not... but I am worried about how the next chapter will go. I do hope it is a real long chapter. Thank you for all of the hard work you have done for this story. Can't wait to see it pan out tomorrow. I hope you also do a sequel series to this. That might be very interesting to read!

The more I think of it, the more I realize that Dylan is just playing along. The serum should have worn off the previous night. Also in the previous chapter we saw Nathan like we had never seen him: full of anger and rage - and that's what got him through to Joe without touching him. If Nathan can just summon that fury with Todd, it might lead to a satisfying outcome: Perhaps what Todd really needs is to become the slave he projects on others - maybe that's the only way he can really function in this world. I'm hoping that Chester and Joe stick the serum gun (on the permanent setting) into Todd. So long as I'm over-thinking things, I was thinking that the key to Todd's power is really Chester. If somehow Nathan or Dylan can undo Todd's influence in Chester that would really turn things. (At one point I was thinking Nathan would end up with Chester, but Chester seems to be very asexual, so that's unlikely.) Joe was apparently disgusted by the sexual activity, but he still needs dominance, so what is going to be the outcome for Nathan's relationship with him? As I said before, a real interesting cliffhanger! And yeah, the enjoyment of this story has increased with being able to interact with you Swizz (or should I say Swizzle?) and the others on here. :)

I'm so confused!!! hahaha I really curious about what going to be happen I don't want Nathan to become like Todd. A little selfish is fine but please don't become a psychopath or become Todd slave I'm still on Nathan side he may not be a real good person but for me he way better than Todd

Gads, what a cliffhanger! But it's a good turn of events in that Nathan can't depend on anyone but himself.

Oh boy! I must confess I was refreshing the page a lot today. It's so exciting to anticipate the next chapter! And it certainly delivered...so many questions. Did Todd find out about Nathan freeing Joe? Is Joe acting? What role will Chester play (you're really good, Swizzington dear--I didn't even consider Chester a possible resistance member!)? And, of course, who will win in the big battle? Two more points. One: I like that you chose to have Nathan tempted to use his powers sexually on Joe...but ultimately choose not to. Yes, the temptation is there, and he did use it for homework, but that's nothing compared to Todd. Granted, the ending could be like "Be a Good Boy," where the mind-controlling character who was "good" ends up becoming more tyrannical than usual, but still, it shows that Nathan, while flawed, has a core of goodness that Todd lacks. Especially summarized in the stakes of the battle: Todd fights to take control and rule. Nathan fights to help and save his friends. And two: I love reading the comments on these stories almost as much as the stories themselves! It's great to have a conversation going, and see everyone's ideas taking form. It's been a pleasure talking to all of you! :)
