nycboot, thank you for your insightful question. The way I have envisioned the telepathy in this universe is such that, when two telepaths engage each other, it is quite a different situation to when a telepath simply assaults the mind of a 'normie'. Although I try to make it plain in this chapter that Dylan is clearly more powerful than his brother, Todd is not powerless nor defenseless. Todd, like any telepath, would be able to shield their thoughts and memories. At least, until they are defeated or their powers are removed by a certain serum. Although Todd got his butt kicked for a little while, he was never 'broken'. Thus, Dylan never had access to his thoughts, like he would with a non-telepath. I hope this makes sense :-)

Nice, although I feel like this part went to fast and Miles went under too quickly. Would have liked to have seen more of a build-up, struggle, and more sex.

Sorry for another post - and perhaps I'm over-thinking this, but if Dylan had access to Todd's mind, wouldn't that have immediately made Dylan understand what Todd has done, how he's accomplished it, who he has enslaved, and what are his plans? Also, something that struck me: Nathan, Todd and Chester are all loners. I suspect that has something to do with the denouement.

Very, very awesome chapter, the showdown didn't disappoint. The beauty of fiction is that is up to interpretation and while LongtimeFan chooses to believe that Todd is a total psychopath, I like to interpret his monologue to have a tiny grain of truth to it. It does feel like Dylan has "cockblocked" Todd a lot with his mind control powers. Dylan claims he did it to protect his brother but clearly, he is not above abusing the power himself as he uses it on a lot of occassions to benefit himself, and also lets be honest, but the dude acts pretty cocky, a total douche (he even speaks like one) and repressive to his brother I do feel that deep, deep, deep, deep down, somewhere inside Todd that perhaps he has some desires to be on equal footing with his brother and I do feel like he's partly responsible in turning Todd into a monster. I'm not excusing Todd's behavior but what I'm saying is that these characters are not black and white/ good and evil and so I don't think any of them are innocent (except maybe Joe) and so I don't really feel like one deserves to lose over the other. And I would like to commend Swizz for writing these complex characters and this awesome series. Your effort and thought clearly shows in all of your writing and I really appreciate you following through with your one day update promise. This is my first time discovering your work and I'm curious to follow your other stories. Thank you very much.

Interesting battle. It's kinda interesting that Dylan's accusation against Todd (lack of humanity, compassion, etc.) is exactly what brought Dylan down. If Nathan wasn't so into his world, he'd invite Joe over, take off and break his glasses, and just talk. In time, Todd's control would wear off and they could get to the bottom of this. But Todd is a career criminal - I don't see an appropriate reward other than a violent death for him. But I guess that's the feeling you want us to have which I'm sure you'll defeat in some way.

Loving this, can't wait to see what's in store, making all those rhymes must be a chore, your readers though can't wait for more.
