Todd sucks. I don't want to even see Dylan go under Todd's control with this serum. I am totally okay with Joe being controlled by Nathan. Nathan and Joe need to end up together.

The enslavement of Wilkins (the counselor) will become relevant again in chapter 9 :-) There are 10 chapters total, plus an epilogue, maybe.

Clearly, the majority of people in the comment section wants Nathan to succeed, so that It should be plain to see where the story should conclude right? Todd needs to die a violent death!

Hey Swizzington, I wouldn't say that "nothing" happened in this chapter. I enjoyed learning the capacity of the family's powers. I'm also with the other commentor about wanting to have Joey do more slutty things for Todd, especially since he lost his inhibitions and arousal or something from the chess match. That couldn't just be for nothing. Also, I was hoping for Todd to use the teacher's influence to bring in more puppets. I'm not sure how many chapters we have left but it feels like the Dylan and Nathan confrontations might be the ending of this series. Thanka for your updates and I'm excited to see how it ends.

Well, Nathan did mention he had never heard anyone use the word 'shizzle' before, nycboot. An ill-advised affectation on Dylan's part, perhaps :-)

Ha ha, thank you, Swizzington! As Mr. New York (nyc) said, I read this stories analytically, searching for every possible clue. You write thrillers and mysteries, and that's my favorite genre--rule number one is "notice every detail." And you write them *well*, because you hide hints about things in every chapter (we got the first idea that this was a genetic power all the way back in Chapter 2, when Todd snapped that Nathan must have already changed Joe in some way). As others have said, you do an excellent job painting the characters, too; I could see Dylan perfectly (he reminds me so much of a dear friend of mine...). There can't be a totally happy ending, of course, but I do have hope yet...
