(Ryuhei) "Ugh the Loki plot twist is so cliché imo. If only JARVIS is the one who behind it all would be more interesting, because I think JARVIS served Loki is a bit illogical" I'd agree.

Sorry this review came so late, been thinking a lot about this chapter. I'm really liking this story. It's very much a supernatural horror story, but also very real. On the surface we have two men, both of whom have been perverted from who they were, trying to figure out who they are. Steve thought he wanted to go back in the closet, have a family and kids, the things he had always dreamed of, but had been denied to him. When given the chance, he slipped into the role easily. He became a deputy, a pillar of his community, known and liked by everyone. Until he re-met Kevin and realized there was a void in him none of these things could fill. So he has sex with him, and the void is filled. But he can't ride off into the sunset, because that would mean leaving behind everything he has, everything (he thought) he wanted. Kevin on the other hand, has basically always been out/ known he's gay and resigned himself to it. Its the only thing he knows. He comes off as callous and dismissive, but he's shown to be empathetic (not wanting to subject kids to a dying world, asking about the gay kid who committed suicide). When he's forced back into the closet, he rebels. He hates his wife, and being with her feels wrong. His kids are a constant reminder that things are very wrong (and one of them that his wife is as miserable as him). Unlike Steve, he's not a pillar of his community; basically the exact opposite. He lives in a MOBILE home, on the edge of town, and rides a motorcycle everywhere. He's talented enough at auto repair that he can't be fired easily, but doesn't care about his job and spends most of his time drunk. He's very much into performative masculinity, and homophobia, to hide the fact that yes gay. The exact opposite of the original Kevin. His life is in a death spiral... until he meets Steve and the void is filled. Unlike Steve, he loves it and dreams about running away with him. He immediately falls head over heels for this guy... until he's rejected. Then he reacts violently, raping Steve. Embarrassed at being romantic, he rewrites his own memory (or the magic does), something he's been shown to do before. He's not gay, he's not in love with a guy, oh no, he just enjoys fucking him to show off his masculinity. To show HE'S in charge. And as soon as he does this, everything clicks into place. He cleans up, drinks less, treats his wife and kids better, and generally gets his life together. But he does this by setting himself as more masculine than Steve, and "taking his wife back" from his boss. He stops harming himself, but externalized that harm towards Steve and by denying his own feelings. And this doesn't just hurt the guys, but the women in their lives as well. Michelle especially is constantly suffering, and trying to find love while in a dead marriage. This review is getting long, but there's definitely something to be said about the men in the first chapter that know what's being done in town is wrong, but feel like they have no choice. What's the suffering of one or two compared to the death of their town, after all.

I really enjoyed this! Very hot, great transformations, and I appreciate you not messing with marriages! Well done!

Thanks for all the comments. It was harder than I thought. Planning the wishes to then add 3 words to. Its such a cool. idea but perhaps I made him gay to quick. I'll have a think about what might happen when Genie's out for a stroll & the wishes he over hears
