[https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/comma/](https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/comma/) "I am the one speaking now,” said Geraldine, knowing that you end direct speech with a comma inside the quotation marks. Mark’s face grew visibly red as he waited for her to finish speaking. “Now you listen to me Geraldine!” He paused to ensure he had her full attention. Once he did, he continued. “When I write direct speech that is a complete sentence, I end it with a period, inside the quotes, and don’t put one outside of the quotes as well.” “But Mark,” Geraldine said, showing that commas generally go before the quotation marks, before and after direct speech, “why ever not?” “Because direct speech is separated by commas, generally, but you don’t usually have to add more punctuation outside of the quotes, dammit!” Geraldine’s lips curled tightly, the anger she was feeling at being taught grammar obvious to everyone in the room. But just before she opened her mouth to speak, her cheeks fell, the fight leaving her with a great sigh. “But I’ve been putting periods after the quotes in literally hundreds of stories!” Mark looked at the floor, as if now suddenly sheepish. “I know,” he said in barely a whisper. “I’ve seen each and every one.”

Think it's super cool for Smarty to lose his intelligence but need dick to get it back. Great writing!

I find it fascinating that, as Reese succumbs to the power of the portrait, the writing style changes...

EXCELLENT! Your poetry was fantastic--I love how the meter of each singer's song matched their desires/its brainwashing job (the ode to Adam was pure worship full of high language, the workout song was droning and repetitive, the dumb jock song was simple and slow, the power-bottom songs were angry and commanding, etc.). Like Absman, I'm a Sondheim fan, so I love when lyrics help tell the story--and these really did! And the images of people in the room slowly transforming, losing their identities and having wild sex in public...damn. This is top-notch!
