thanks @absman420, i had a lot of fun writing those lyrics. i had the idea of a sexy band for a long time but i didn't dare write the lyrics i felt the story needed because i'm not a native speaker and didn't have the abilities. glad i finally gave it a shot. it was surprisingly not that difficult.

It was great fun! A nice, slow burn through a range of emotions (and positions). And of course, I totally love of a non-linear narrative! Well done! Now -- this is totally true -- IRL, I'm a lyricist. I've written music & lyrics for 15 produced shows, including a national tour and a show in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a few years ago (my personal pride). Granted, I'm more of the Sondheim school, but that only makes me a special kind of theatre snob -- the gay kind. (Note the pretentious spelling of the word "theatre".) With all that in mind, I think your lyrics worked great! I appreciate the effort you went through to do them and do them so well. They added a subtext to this story that is generally missing from this type of mind-control romp. It's what will continue to set this story apart in the years to come. Me like.

> really enjoyed the treatment those two gave Refractor Kid. > @abradacacabra923 Thank you! The greatest challenge with a multi-part transformation series is keeping the transformations original and fresh. As I've said many times, to me there's nothing worse than "Chapter 6: the same thing happens to someone else". (That's why I usually cut away just as the transformation is about to happen -- I figure that will almost force the reader to imagine it, which is what I want, and save me from writing the same moment over and over.) So here we are in a world where every character has a unique super-power. So the fun becomes "how can I exploit that super-power in the transformation scene?" I feel like I've been pretty good so far, but even I enjoyed describing what a dick would look like fucking an invisible hole... The other interesting bit is figuring out who's a top and who's a bottom. Heeheehee.... we all have our bets.

Such an amazing story, hope we will see the end soon!

@Dodger I'm glad you see this chapter as "ramping up" -- I was afraid, because of the nature of the storytelling in this chapter, that it would seem like I was stepping away from the main plot. But after the multitude of action-moments in Chapter 4, I wanted to rein it back just a little. Chapter 5 is a strangely short chapter (for me) but it does exactly what I want it to. As you will soon see, Chapter 6 is VERY long and -- because there were so many subplots to catch up on -- Chapter 7 is pretty long, too. I'm starting to see this as a 10-part story with an epilogue. > It’s also interesting to see a different aspect of Rex and where that may or may not lead. > I agree! It's been interesting to play with this character again and discover some new stuff about him. I've learned that he respects Alphas/ sexually confident males and genuinely has been able to make some friends here in the far flung future -- witness Rex and Electric Lad in this very chapter. When we get to the climactic moment in the story, Rex's actions may just surprise you.

I thought this one was terrific! I hope you write a sequel where Camden convinces all his friends to listen to his new favorite band!
