Think about it: What you're saying is, that because of the history of black people in the USA, they must be treated differently in that area. I say: This is already racism by definition. Racism, or better, discrimination based on a common characteristic of a group of people, always means that this group is somehow treated differently. If you think that enslaving a black person is "more wrong" than a white person, then you already make a distinction that in no way is rationally warranted. I know, especially in the US, there are many MANY cases, where people are treated differently because of their race, their gender, their sexuality, their social status... many of them conscious and purportedly meant to help or protect the minority. Same happens in Germany, if to a lesser extend. I say: Differentiating in ANY way is already a discrimination. ALWAYS. No matter why and how. But please go on with this discussion (you could also use the [forum](https://forum.gayspiralstories.com)) if you stay just as civil as you did so far!

I am of Jamaican heritage and therefore the descendant of slaves myself, but I found this story erotic as I'm turned on by both 'white on black' power dynamics and vice-versa. I agree with Elan Musk's comment, above. White people forget that their own ancestors were also once slaves; early European tribal society thrived on slavery, the Romans enslaved many Northern Europeans and feudal serfdom continued until the end of the middle ages and right up to the 19th century in Russia. The first 'slaves' in the US were indentured workers, mostly Irish. I have never had any negative comments about stories I have posted here about a black master and his white slave, but I'm always prepared for a lot of flak if I dare to write one about the opposite situation.

To the commenter who says this is the first time they've seen "offended" people on this site: for a brief history of other stories that generated a lot of controversy, check out Hypnothrill's "Caravan of Love" and "Justice is Served," and basically all of LoakkaChunk's works. The comment sections in those bad boys are red hot. ;p

There's nothing wrong with writing a story with a black sub with a white dom; I think the author (being a black man himself) is perfectly allowed to explore racially-charged topics through his writing. It can even play on stereotypes or false beliefs, and have the white dom target POC and the black sub enslaved. I think. The term "good boy," despite connotations, is well-worn on this site in plenty of other places. Despite the gut reaction of some people here, conceptually, everything in this story *conceptually* is fine. Especially for a black author. That said. Execution matters a great deal, and stories with sensitive topics need to provide ample mind control to offset the real-world issues. As Hypnothrill said, there's not enough actual hypno/brainwashing: it's just a black man coming into a white man's home, and naturally feels compelled to serve. The weed comes in to help enthrall, but it doesn't read as the method behind the madness. It reads like it's because he's black, and the dom is white. On top of that, the constant racial coding and dog whistling is distracting--and not from the dom or something brainwashed in the sub, because that's expected. Those are the the core problems. Whatever implications of a racist narrative being falsely, hypnotically inserted into the sub's head are non-existent, and thus it reads like this is a depiction of how black men should interact with white men without prompting. In the real world. Without MC. The narration chimes in multiple times about the fact that the protagonist is black. Black boy, black cock, black slave, etc. If it were the white dom saying this stuff or putting it in the black sub's brain, that's one thing, but the narrator is the voice of God. This isn't a story told from a point-of-view, it's an omniscient narrator, so to have them say stuff like that makes it skeevier. This story isn't unsalvageable and I don't think there was any malicious intent. More concrete mind control and hypnotic method, a neutral narrator, making sure it's understood that the racial superiority aspect is purely on the part of the white dom's control and the black sub's brainwashing instead of a natural state.

COMMENT CONTENT WARNING: rape. Hmmmmm. I admit, Elan, that your comment has required me to rethink my response to this story. Here are my two cents, which everyone is free to turn down! As you say, Elan, the majority of the stories on this site involve mind control and, as a result, non-consensual sex. But what sets most of them apart, at least for me, is the element of fantasy/magic/impossible science/science fiction that motivates that sex. To give a few examples: dear Willie Cici (whose stories usually involve straight dudes "changing" to gay) have involved ancient Egyptian and Greek gods and impossible levels of hypnosis; Hypnothrill dabbles in aliens and impossible combinations of mutagens and hormones (always vague enough to suggest some kind of dark force); and Onix's characters use dark magic/witchcraft. In fact, the stories that present straight men as "just turning gay" as they're forced into it/raped make me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, because they imply that sexuality can be changed in "real-life" circumstances. That's why I always like it when authors present their characters as gay/bisexual/attracted to men in the first place. :p All of that is largely a prelude to what makes this story uncomfortable for me personally: the knowledge that there are *genuinely people who think like the redneck.* Being reminded of the racist individuals in this world who actually buy into that disgusting line of "reasoning" makes me start thinking about racial coding and implications. And maybe that was your goal! Combining erotica with thinkpieces is an awesome tool; I guess that it's a weird combination, especially when race is involved. Interracial white master/black slave play is, for me, one of those kinks, like rape play or age play, that raises all sorts of ethical questions. And it's not always fun to think about ethical questions, especially on a site whose primary purpose is sexual pleasure. And I think that gets to the root of my, and perhaps other readers', issues with this story: the presentation of black/white race relations. That's generally a touchy subject, so to see it presented here does raise the hackles a bit. Does the fact that you're black make those hackles go all the way down? No, admittedly. But it *does* make me believe that the choices were deliberate, and not some tone-deaf white dude writing without considering the implications. Those deliberate choices don't "fix" the discomfort the story generates for me personally, but they DO give me a new perspective on the tale. Thank you for reading my comment! I mean there are definitely plenty of stories here that function on a baseline of internalized homophobia the same way this one functions on the idea of the white guy being superior to the protagonist so...i dunno
