My faith in your strategy was, indeed, justified. Excellent pacing and even better internal monologue. The obliviousness of Jason's mind-shift was an incredibly smart move on your part. Bravo!!

my only and I mean only problem with your stories is having to cut and paste into Google Translate which is too disruptive. It would be so much better if you could add the translation in parenthesis or have someone in the story translate

Wonderful concept; would like to see more unusual "subjects"

LongtimeFan: Thanks, I'm glad you like it. And I concur: Any time someone writes "his bodyfat was 0%" or something to that effect, it's an immediate turn off to me. 0% bf, you'd be dead. You have to have some fat for basic body function. Something you might notice in my story is that, while I clearly break rules of reality, I break them in a deliberate way that is at least consistent with my premise. I have respect for the rest of reality and try to be reasonably accurate. (A tip I heard during an interview of Isaac Azimov while talking about good vs bad sci-fi writers.)

Fascinating chapter! I love the idea of the "Somewhere Else"--a spot beyond time and space where otherworldly beings just ARE. And the use of the "mind's mind" to showcase the mental transformations/history is a novel, fun idea (I presume that's what Jason's dream was in the last chapter). The varied transformation types and great writing have set this up as a real winner. Nice going! :D
