Wonderful story! I think there have been "revenge" stories in the past where I thought the punishment was much more extreme than the crime. But your writing made me identify so totally with Mark and feel his pain and hurt that*** anything*** he did to Jack seemed totally justified. You produced a happy conclusion which made it all the more fitting. Bravo!

A happy end! *sobs* another outstanding piece by you,Edlam. I guess some of us were in a similar sitiation -without being able to mindcontrol someone- so Mark's actions are...well,not justified, but understandable. It's nice that he noticed that power corrupts and we got a happy ending to some degree. Oh yeah, great plot. Especially well written. You know, like always. That is all

I love your writing style - the control is never really fleshed out, the reader has to guess what's going on. There seem to be mutual effects, I'm curious for the next installment!

This is definitely taken from the real -life story about the news anchor who became a porn star. The entire sentence at the end from Derek about not wanting to retire to board shorts is a direct quotation from the news anchor story. It shows that real life is stranger than fiction! Well written and totally believable!

I love the subtle humor in the writing: “You SURE things are totally okay between you and your ‘buddy’?” Derek shrugged off the damaged wall. “What, that? No, that’s…that’s nothing. He’s a…totally different person today.”

VERY creative way to go about story telling. I wish more authors did it this way.
