Really great story , but I have a question: how do humans turn into vampires in your world ? Is it a simple bite ?

MonsterfuckerAnonymous

@Anonymous Not quite, but being bitten does make the protagonist open to being possessed and controlled by them. Glad you liked the story!

@MonsterfuckerAnonymous Oh OK. But then how do they turn

10/12/24, 8:54 AM
@Anonymous Well, these stories aren't really connected, so rules aren't consistent - but one I like using is that they must share an orgasm at the same time they're bitten!

It has been over a year, and I still hope to one day have more of this story. ❤️

As an ex missionary myself, I cringe to think what authentic dialog I could write for this kind of theme.

@Anonymous If you want to suggest realistic lines for me to include in future parts that would be pretty neat!

Really good story ! Thanks for that

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) I intended to make them a fishfolk, like Pcm's A Ranger's Duty like, the fish pirate that have legs and look identical like a human-fish hybrid, but look handsome in a way. I think for Southern people, they won't see it as a blessing, because once you are "blessed", you will never be albe to live without the Abyssal Gaze with you.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) Now I'm curious to see how that would look like through perchance ai. I suposse that I can do on my own though. The sahagin of final fantasy come to mind, though the fishfolk of the abyssal gaze are probably more handsome than that. Would they have human skin, or scales? And thei facial features I assume would be somewhere between humanoid and a marine creature....not to mention limbs and finger digits. I can see webbed hands, fins and tails being common. The fish pirate from the earlier chapters is likely a better example than my musings though. I do agree with you on the southerners. I don't think not wanting the abyssal gaze's....well gaze on them is an odd desire. It would mean constantly being monitored that you are compliant to its will and who knows what else if you did have it. The question is then does the abyssal gaze keep to the sea... or do their fish folk stalk around on land through rivers to find people? If it's the latter, no wonder the southerners are cautious about them, especially considering the abyssal gaze seems to have a big brother surveillance angle to him. Would they have water magic abilities or siren like abilities- those of the abyssal gaze? I'd imagine these fish folk have cities in the depths as well. Are they magically advanced like in the east? If that's how they feel about the abyssal gaze, I can't imagine they'd like the hellish horde either. The demons in the east were tailored to exploit eastern culture and its issues. Albert might be seen with distrust if people realize he's not human. He might even genuingly mean well but well....genuingly meaning well doesn't preclude demons from doing dubious things in the name of liberation and spreading pleasure. Not that Albert would do that (and i really think he wont after the tragedies on his family come to pass), but I could see southerners being cautious around him at first, unless he disguises himself well. Which considering he likely converts surviving stragglers in the east by being kind and gentle with them to assuage their fears, jts something he could do well. After all, in doing so he could show terrified easterners that just because he's a demon doesn't mean he's lost his humanity- this wouldn't work on its own but with his friendly nature and desire for pleasure and no despair in his making of new demons, it is a sound strategy, requiring less psychological manipulation or breaking somebody's will.

@Anon It's fun to see how you interpret Abyssal Gaze, but I think I will not dwell on it too much, though.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) I am likely overthinking the abyssal gaze faction but the insmouth similarities and how we've seen the other groups behave has me trying to sort of postulate matters. I suoosse my question in light of that is would Albert be recieved with gratitude or suspicion by the south? Having survived the abyssal gaze for so long- I think they know when somebody isn't human. While Albert may be genuingly kind, I think it's likely things like increased strength and inhuman stamina that might cause alarm bells to ring in the southerners that something is off with him. Obviously, it's likely they do manage to work with him, but I can imagine tension when Albert first gets there. However, this question is likely a spoiler so I don't expect a direct answer.

@Anon Right, you will see when the time comes.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) Of course. I suposse my question now is this- if the south is in fear of the gaze- would they be open to joining another faction? Or have they seen how becoming something else has its cost...and know that joining any of the primordials comes with a heavy cost. Thus unlike the east which was seduced with pleasure or the west which become more orthodox, or the north which made its choice out of survival, the south remains vigilant of all things of the supernatural. I suspect that Albert too will learn that even amongst the hellish horde...one may not fully escape mortality. If not of yourself, than of others, with what happens with his family. And while I suspect he may not understand the fears of the southerners emotionally....he may understand them intellectually. As somebody who converts with kindness, I think unlike most demons he had a very strong understanding of why people are scared of demons- they see it as annihilation of identity. And they're not wrong in a way. Albert however likely sees this (at least at first) as something that doesn't have to be true. I can imagine him finding survivors traumatized out of their minds looking to convert them- but less out of a sinister desire and more because he sees the real pain in such people and wants to help them, a pain he likely knows to a degree with how his family struggles. After all, a major crux of people being converted is the age old question of how much of themselves really is there- and how much isn't. Yet people can change without any outside interference and responding to outside events of their own accord, and the southerners likely know that as well. And I think Albert does too, in a way.

@Anon With how remote the south actually is, I doubt they know about the West and East situation. They have Abyssal Gaze to worried about, so why would they add more paranoia to their mind? A sweet tempting and promising future might convince the locals to consider it, of course, that's a possibility.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) It might tempt some, but I suspect that with how insmouth has the protagonist tempted with feelings of belonging and pleasure in being a deep one as he changes and eventually succumbs in tragedy to become something else, I think most of them will look at demonhood and realize it's the abyssal gaze all over again but in a different form. At the same time, the lure of freedom and pleasure might nab them, as it did the easterners. But considering Albert in the south is going to be reeling from the death of his family, they will also see a real time example of how demonhood doesn't always live up to its promises- that will certainly produce detractors. I do agree though that with how isolated the south is, they likely have little to no knowledge regarding the east. There might be some vague knowledge something happened to the west though (50 years is about a generation and that's when gil and the others were made into beastfolk.) As it stands, I don't think Albert will be in a good state of mind to even try to market demonhood as he's either going to be dealing with internal anguish over what happened to his family and the abyssal gaze plotting its own schemes. He might eventually but not for a while I'd imagine.

I'm back! I'm sorry for disappearing so suddenly, but I finally found some time to finish this story. I hope you like the endings I prepared! As always, I'm accepting any constructive feedback. And I also really want to know which ending you liked the most.
