Thank you everyone for the comments! Let me say that Albert (the demon who was the valet) is a character made by a reader who is interested in writing a side story to the series! He is a very well made character and Im excited to see his story further on!

@[Pcm](/user/show/10039396) Hi, JSN here! Thanks for Pcm to show one of my character, Albert! I intended to write a side story about this character and another one in the next chapter.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) And @[Anon](/user/show/10049352), I think you should look forward to it, if you like happy endings that are truly happy.

@[JSN](/user/show/10029968) I do look forward to that then. Albert seems interesting with his endurance and desire to stay human for his family- a clever inversion of the major pitfall for those who seek to survive in the main story. I wonder what will be his case...will this side story take place before or after becoming a demon? Or is this an alternate verse where he managed to escape? So many possibilities.... I wonder who that next person in the coming chapter is as well.

There's really no hope left now. Eddie's doom that was to lose himself to a horror worse than death bas come forth now. The doom his foster father wanted to inflict on him has come to pass. At this rate...better that the sacred dusk kills them. Theres nothing left to save. Forlorn was absolutely horrifying and Eddie essentially was tortured into being made a willing thrall. The fact is like I said before.. The demons are slaves to their own desires....Eddie didn't reunite with his love....he reuinted with a horror that used the memory of a dead man to get what he wanted. That forlorn diguised himself as a cleric to induce people to go and force themselves onto their loved ones that are desperate for aid...that man who wanted to write letters to their family...the looters...there's a very terrifying note to all of this. They had better not make it north...them getting any more victories would be a terror. Meanwhile it seems we know where the sacred dusk was. And it looks like they're tired of playing nice. Hopefully Jason and the others stay safe. So does Eddie still have plant powers or no? And his name callous...this is just eerie all throughout. It makes sense how Eddie broke, but I was hoping he'd be strong to resist knowing Collins memory. That he was so desperate he did this is perhaps understandable but still tragic, though it does seem that Eddie just got desperate and the fact is- even with forlorn telling the truth he did manipulate Eddie. Forlorns dream I highly doubt is Collins with the orphanage. It's so much more sinister. Forlorn did as his namesake suggests and broke his lover and turned him into a puppet for him. There is no hope left for this. None. I just hope Aaron escapes. And I hope one day...the east falls into a ruin of its own making. May it be that the demons despair. I wouldn't even see this as bittersweet. This is a tragedy in my eyes. A well written one, but a tragedy nonetheless. I should note that while forlorn didn't torture Eddie with pain per se, he essentially did deal in mental torture and manipulation though. This whole chapter was filled with it.

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) Well, I agreed about what you said. Eddie will still have the power of the plants, as it seems the rest of the demons show their abilities, particularly Forlorn, have the healing ability of Collin's kept intact.

@Anonymous I remember seeing a comment that the grandmaster won't screw up this time. If this means going full biblical style destruction on the demons I'm all for it. I really want to see the demons knocked down a peg. Give me the east drowning in a zombie apocalypse, in a flood of death- let the demons fight that which they cannot win. I want to see them collapse. A part of me genuingly despises what Collin and his family have become (this isn't a bad thing per se- it means that the writing is effective enough to make me feel strongly) . Eddie's now demonized plant abilities are just another reason why this is so terrifying. This would imply the other transformed folk (the beasts) can be demonized as well.

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) I understand your feelings, but can you really said in good faith that's what you want? A war between the Sacred Dusk and Hellish Horde? You must know that a war have no winners, and both the side would have something to lose.

@Anonymous Oh a war would definetly be terrible. However at this rate either it or a necromancy sourced apocalypse are literally the only ways I can see the demonic invasion being stalled. War is a horror- there is no doubt of this. Either side will lose things. But I can't think of any other way short of placing a magical border around the east by surrounding countries to ensure demons can never leave. These demons are essentially individuals who cannot be reasoned with due to genuingly believing they are liberating people from the terror of mortality. While there may be a few that might turn away due to realizing the demon invasion is the reason their loved ones died (the fact of the matter is that realistically if demonhood inflames all desires- there's probably a lot of seriously screwed up indiviudals in their ranks (real life history has records of sexually motivated serial killers... ) and recognizing that for all its posturing of bringing freedom and pleasure it too brought misery on them, the vast majority of them will remain as they are. A war would be terrible- but unless the dusk can spearhead a single decisive strike I can't think of what could work. The fact is that either the survivors find a way to flee and erect fortifications to prevent demons from ever entering other lands...or they retreat, regroup and strike back.

@Anonymous Reading the chapter again, there's times where it really does feel heartwarming between Collin and forlorn, Eddie and callous...and the one remembers the context and we go back into terror again. The worst part is that nobody is lying in that situation- they've just been so warped that what is heartwarming is...terrifying. the love is real but is terrifying in its effects. Additionally, how forlorn got to Eddie is so skillfull I can't help but he impressed. And his means of using words to convince people is still a part of him too. He is a dark mirror to Collin in a sense. And in a way...Eddie is happy now. But he now will bring despair to so many others under the goal of liberation. Perhaps in that sense it is bittersweet as you mentioned. For all of forlorn horrors, he genuingly sees himself as somebody who can bring Collins reality for a better world into being real- unshackled by human limitations. There's something...heartwarming but terrifying about that. Seeing that juxtaposed to the frightened children and civilians with the grandmasters makes this ever so clear.

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) When considering things with your POV, yeah, it's terrifying to learn the implications of that.

@Anonymous I remember a comment saying one of gilberts sons will meet the grandmaster. I think it'd be very funny if his sons figure out their father and his family played a role in letting the demon invasions come to pass. They don't know now thanks to sybrarite, but I could easily see the grabdmaster/dusk tell that to one of Gilbert's sons as a final spiteful comment. The fact that the dusk knows Gilbert contributed to him dying (and it seems he outright ordered for his corpse to be mutilated which uhh...yikes.), would be interesting to explore- it means that some knowledge of the old reality still remains. This story is primarily focused more on the erotic side of things, but take two steps back and look at the political sociological and other aspects and you quickly get a tragedy. On the other hand, if the disks policy of fighting the demons was letting the east suffer from class inequality and hyper repression I'm not sure why it thought things would go wrong. Then again...it kind of sounds like his entire sense of self got mangled thanks to who knows how many reincarnations...and why is it in each one he either got betrayed or lost a loved one? There's a pattern there...

@Anonymous I think it was in the last chapters comments somewhere that what im referencing was mentioned. If not, then my postulations are unfounded.

Loved this story and really excited for the next chapter- I'm hoping Jay comes to learn to love his place as master's toy and gives up all resistance and control

You have outdone yourself, Pcm. Even though it's sad to see Eddie fallen to despair, at the very least, he's with his lover again.

And for sure the daddy knows that they are all having sex now still. And he is Edan, such a lair.

I really don’t like Sammy treating his brothers like Secondary subs. He call call him a slut but John can’t. He really is a bad person. He did call his brother weak bitches for men. And he wasn’t talk in a sexual way. He was saying he hates weak men, but uses them to get other prey. Then punish of they get alpha like.

This sounds like it is going to be fun! Waiting for the next chapter
