It's hard to imagine such interesting articles 20 years ago, and besides, I think if you think these articles are still a little hot, then you are not old yet!

Felt Lucas had switched the tables of control a bit too quickly but to each their own

Really cool start, but Bobby is called Jesse twice in a paragraph (which is told in Lucas's POV for some reason?)

I will say, as inorganic as the dialogue is, I find the scenario quite credible

@Rock Creek Werewolf I think in terms of that duality between wolf and human thought, this is well present. Zachs current situation (and how mondjugen are treated in general) is legitimately terrifying, but I can imagine due to the views that sprung up regarding Luna the wolves think they are doing a good thing. However, I suspect that eventually they are going to get found out. People do go missing, but with a specific process happening all the time? Unless they change that up they will get found out. There's definetly an idea that jinns are a bit different than humans in certain moral aspects- they can overreact to bad situations and misinterpret accidents as purposeful malice if a human does something, and one story I remember has a case where a young jinn possessed a woman who was lonely because they thought that would help them not be sad. But that's more the theological view, but I can see what the trajectory for wolf society is in that light. It's not identical, but similar in some ways but in some cases can be wildly different. There's also the idea jinns could follow human prophets and religions which complicates things further (a Christian, muslim, Jewish, hindu, Buddhist agnostic athiest etc or doing their own thing or following a faith from amongst the jinn is completely possible in a muslim understanding.). But I think that even if wolves see things differently than humans, they aren't so distant that they cannot conceptualize human understandings for things, though they may not fully get it so to speak. My wonder then is how is Yusuf going to handle this conflict. I strongly suspect he's going to find something he knows won't work faith wise (either extremely harsh treatment to a mondjugen or something similar) and he will have to make a choice. But then again, maybe not. We already see some wolves not liking anything related to human faith, but I think Yousef will find a way to reconcile things. He clearly doesn't take his faith likely, and I highly doubt he will leave it. I think in the case of those who follow Luna, it really becomes then what do they want to be. If Luna just is, they have the choice to be more sinister or not. Obviously, the mondjugen aspect will likely always be a bit dubious, but attitudes could vary from group to group. Or if there's a lunarian orthodoxy that exists in regards to wolf teachings. I think for me, Mullins conflict and yousefs faith navigation interest me the most. Eventually, Mullins is going to have face his wife and children as he is not going to leave them, unlike the other fellow. Yousef is likely never going to relinquish his faith either, and even if forced will likely uphold it in secret.

@Anon I agree that the need for more mondjugen puts the pack at risk for discovery. But that's also an element of all horror: the fear of discovery. Take an random gay vampire story: death/disappearance of human is inherent even if the writer does not stress it (Pierre and Jacques are enemy vampires... and lovers... oh, and they each kill about 100 people a year to drink their blood and survive. Will their love prevail over their rivalry?). I love the description of the djinn, and will explore that.
