I just reread chapters 7-8 -9 and cried all over again. They are happy tears and ones of tribute to a well-written, emotionally complex, compelling, positive story. Thank you!

Terrific premise! well written - you really capture the experience from the perspective of Danny, the injured bodybuilder. Great to see a story about healing from injuries. A lot of lifters deal with this, and it puts a really crimp in your ability to work out. Rotator cuff surgery should be so pleasant, quick and effective! Can you tell my doctor? :)

Absman420 here again! Not that I want to turn this into a MILK MAN thread, but I had a lot more fun writing its sequel, MILK MAN 2 (I’ll supply a link if you want the stories.)

I’m glad you’ve waited to start writing bears now that we’re here. Your work was always good to jack off to. Perverse and sexy. Here you took those elements, and the elements and themes of City of Bears, and you took it somewhere else. There was still some sexiness and of course a bit of perversion, but it was also thoughtful. You didn’t just utilize or subvert shame for thrills to a climax or to state an indictment of humanity. This was bittersweet and felt sincere in tone. Relatable, unique, and human all while still feeling like it belonged with what was previously there. The ways you’ve grown as a writer over the past decade is impressive. So thank you very much for sharing.
