I’m really loving this story. I’m following Ray and Nick as our main characters, but I’m kinda curious who the hell Victor is? I’m sure it’s been established in the story, but right near the end I want to know. Is he one of the freshmen? A senior? It’s kinda hits different depending on who it is. (And Tbh, I want him to be a freshman, because it’s hotter that he gambled and didn’t get that long before he became an object.)

@[KinkyNickInSea](/user/show/17305) He's one of the Daedalus freshmen, yes. I tried to sprinkle their names into the story every now and then instead of doing one big introduction round for everyone. Maybe I should have done that though, haha.

@[Cockatrice](/user/show/620105) oh, no need to do an introduction round. Perhaps just drop a little reminder near the end? “There stood a freshman, Victor, …”

Sexy! Though, I am really getting confused with the spiral. In the original Corduroy story, he/it cale as a person/thing with a physical location that was acting throught hacking phones and sending nanites-infested objects. In your ealiest chapters, the Spiral definitively gave "rogue AI" vibes, confused by human concepts and extremely tech-based (it's not too difficult to presume the objects pulled out of backpack is some kind of 3D print thing, especially if those are supposed to have the same effect as the sperm. Some kind of nanotechnologie, perhaps.) But in the most recent chapters, especially here, The Spiral comes off as a supernatural reality warper who can influence anyone, and create anything out of thin air. And now, object teleportation? I mean, we never got an explanation, so it's not that big of a deal, but when it feels the Spiral can pull off stuff it/he was never hinted to have begore, it kind of ruin any tension. And it makes one wobder just WHY did the Spiral need the slaves to spread manually. Is the Spiral growing stronger the more people it has under His power? Because I don't feel it was made that clear.😕

@[BobbyBlobfish](/user/show/700733) Thanks for reading so far and for your comment. Who or what the Spiral is is something jockboi and I have discussed. You have a point that my take on the Spiral is far different than jockboi's original story or his rewrite and I think that as I have written and discussed things with jockboi I have a better understanding of my version of the Spiral and that may be where you're picking up on the changes that are occurring over the narrative. There are two chapters left in this arc, but I may try to incorporate your point in the final chapter and try to make things a bit clearer. But there is an idea to explain who/what the Spiral is in a separate arc; once I finish this arc up, I'd like to get your thoughts and maybe that arc will be the next thing to work on.

The story is well written. The pace seems slow, yet it has only been 24 hours. The bondage is good. I would have expected the brit to experience a few more items in the dungeon. The safe word use has some issues. It would be good to see the boy enticed more, unless Dylan really lives in the mansion. What is his relationship with the professor?

@MJPtothelimit Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it and will take it on board, but allow me to explain my point of view. I This story is based on a roleplay I did and I found it so hot at the time that I decided to make a story on it. I try to sell it specifically with very few changes unless absolutely necessary. As for pacing, the story if I decided to tell it all would be a very long one. Like, I am talking 80 chapters. Sure I could edit it down, but I wouldn’t know where to begin and the last thing I want is to give this story, an injustice if that makes sense. Again, really glad you enjoyed!

@Pcm Oh definetly this was a tough decision for Collin. One of his strengths is his compassion and idealism, but I think between not wanting his family to die so he can cure them, residual mind control from his family members, and panic- he made a massive mistake. I don't see this as him intentionally making that choice- though I think the chapter makes this clear as well. Gregory I think would have come back to tempt no matter if Collin was safe or not. But, I think he would have had a tougher time. Half of the reason things fell apart so quickly was because on top of the problems eastern culture caused its knights, the grief over Collin was a double whammy. It would still be a problem, as gregory has been tailor made to convert easterners, but I think William and the others might have been able to resist some more. Or maybe not. I can't figure out who exactly the necromancer is yet, but clearly they were somebody old and powerful. Or somebody is doing an impersonation and we've met them already. Regardless, they seem dangerous. Eleven being her own person seems a testament to the fact that the north already pulled through a situation just like the one the east is facing now (instead of the demons it was the destructor) so they have their wits about them. I just hope she survives unscathed, since shes catatonic. Collins demon name is already ringing all kinds of alarm bells to me because a state of being forlorn is a state of no hope. It's a inverse of what he is- and if he winds up becoming that all hell will break loose. That Leon managed to actually integrate knightly principles is surprising, but makes a sort of sense. However, I think I have to agree with eleven- Collin is too optimistic and it's cost him- they are too far gone. The demon that turned gregory I think is the scariest thing yet. This figure may have a shot at turning Collin, and while I hope that doesn't happen (or that he does something horrid to Eddie and jason), it could be so. That you mentioned we will see the demons in more detail in their motivations is fascinating as it is terrifying. The west is utterly screwed now. They were riding on a high thinking they'd only be able to have eastern human fighters as opponents and continue poaching disenfranchised folk from the borders. But with the demons coming out of concealment and having co opted most of the main military forces, there's literally nothing stopping them from taking over the whole of the country. The demons also have no desire to respect the other gods of the land and their territory- they will try to take it all. The beastfolk have no intelligence on their enemy and little strategy. In the end, the primal beast doomed himself. Everybody in this story acted realistically considering their circumstances, and that's what makes this so tragic. The east is likely doomed to become a demonic kingdom for further incursions into the other nations, and the west is about to have a nasty end to the ascendancy they had for the past fifty years. I do think personally that while gil didn't want to kill the grandmaster, he also had to defend his people (and might have been euphoric over being a beast). Seeing this go so wrong so fast and potentially indirectly due to some of his actions (because I think the primal beast will eventually put things together), will probably be a bitter pill to swallow. The north is likely going to hunker down and play defense. It's strange to think that henrich not wanting to die fifty years ago to be with his sons has laid the road for a demon apocalypse. How things spiral....I think in the end, this story will be a tragedy in many ways, and hopeful in others (the exposing of the cultural issues surrounding the east for one). I hope Collin and Eddie will be able to escape as themselves- but something tells me either only one of them will, or they will be demonized. And the west meanwhile, will have no way to handle the fallout of that, save cursing themselves for being too arrogant. The demon that turned gregory likely has his own designs, and I can't imagine any of them being good. That Collin got a vision of him changing was frightening, and him seeing how his father broke must have been horrifying, as well as his loved ones.

@[Anon](/user/show/10049352) Hmm, maybe morally speaking, letting Eleven kill his family here might be the best choice. The rest of the kingdom and the men they turn can potentially be saved. Collin is however ultimately human, and shares human propensity to sentiment. It is ironic. Let's say that Collin had never been presumed death. Greg would still have been captired and corrupted. Hr would have come for his family. However, I think that his targets would be limited to just that: his family. He would not have the drive to pursue a further goal. Maybe he would indect a village or two, but after he had gotten all his family turned, he would return to the Infernal Realm with them. Maybe he would lire Collin and Leon out to ambush them and have rhem transformed, but their order would remain largely intact. Eleven situation will get mich more complicated in the next chapter, the same goes for all those who knes Coliin. Collin transformed would mean the death fpr hope of redemption for the demons, as they would no longer see the reason to escape from corruption. Forlorn would be a fitting name for him. Leon's perversion and corruption of the knightly code will continue to serve as his brand of demonizing (aside from bathing). You will see the full extent of demons' corruptive power. Being primitive beastmen is not all that alluring now, is it? Blind brute melee certainly cannot protect you from the demonic guile. If only either Eddie or Collin would be turned, who do you think would handle the separation worse?

@[Pcm](/user/show/10039396) Anybody related to Collin right now is in a pickle, I agree with that. Either they're already demons or the beastfolk and the demons are after them. I think Collins hope things would work out left him way too susceptible and frankly I think eleven approach for survival of the east was arguably cold but understandable and maybe even the only way. The fact is, as we see with garret, even if they get their bodies back, they are changed. Unless Collin wants to overwrite their personalities, this new type of demon gregory embodies can't be so easily reversed. They aren't immoral in themselves, but pleasure above all else can get dark very fast and that's what we have seen in these latest chapters. The beastfolks disdain for trickery is about to smack them in the face. They don't know how to deal with it, and the demons are very good at it. A frontal assault on them would be a death wish, and that's unfortunately what the beasftolk will likely try- after all, in their minds it worked fifty years ago. I think if only one was turned, Eddie would probably be worse off- he doesn't seem to have anybody besides Collin and being alone would he awful (but he has jason), but on the flip side, Collin losing Eddie would probably break him more due to the fact that unlike Eddie he had more and lost more. I think in that case, Collin might be worse off. I do agree that if Collin hadn't been taken away, gregory would probably just be a on off thing against his loved ones. Not an agent for a larger plan. The saddest thing is that earlier chapters showcase the demons having more human moments, but as the story goes on, they are losing themselves more to pleasure in some ways, but echoes of who they were still pop up. It's grim as it is hopeful. And if the demons can corrupt even more than what has been seen...oh I am so worried for Collin right now. But considering how garret wasn't convinced but respected Collins views, I wonder what many of thpe demonized knights think of collin- is he a victim of knighthood, or too idealistic, or something else entirely? Geopolitically, the east is screwed. The beasftolks will likely pounce or be run over by the demons after they trash the royal army, the king and Aaron are in major danger, and the beastfolk are wildly unprepared. The north may wind up being the only place left mostly unscathed in all of this- simply by virtue of being distant from either nations politics. And then there's the demon that turned gregory amidst all of this...
