@Anonymous That is adorable! Eddie and Collin have dreamt of getting married and run an orphanage, where Eddie could start a bakery while Collin would volunteer as a healer. It is their happy fantasy.

"But I doubt itโ€™s for you yet", love that line! The plot thickens! And that ending!

Eddie has definetly lived a very difficult life here, and his ties to the arboreal are a suprising twist. But his perseverance is laudable. On the other hand, gil has kind of lost it over his grandson being stolen in his eyes and the other Wolfman aren't much better. Marky on the other hand intrigues me- he clearly genuingly believes that how they run things is better, and that any harm is a necessary sacrifice, and he's confused as to why Eddie doesn't want this, and he seems to have had a brother who was the same or similsr in thought (what happened to him I wonder?). I think that such shows that even despite the primal beasts hold in the west, some things of old still remain. That he let him go was a miracle, but with the threat of never coming back. Also, the hunt seems to definetly be a kind of ritualistic sex act simulating prey/predator dynamics which would I assume be willing for the westerners but would quickly devolve into a horror show for anybody who wasn't willing. Jason I think is ultimately a really tragic character because he literally is in the same place Collin is and to some extent gil was in. Eddie points out rightly that what's going here might be well intentioned in some twisted matter, but it is nowhere near healthy or sane. That he was able to escape is amiracle, but it's likely the Wolfman will be more enraged than ever. And Eddie lost an arm in all of this. Also, the fact that Eddie rightfully notes the grandmasters and those in power are rather terrible and that going to some other form of excess isn't good is honestly refreshing. It's so fascinating seeing how despite being of the plantfolk, Eddie has risen beyond his heritage, and isn't enslaved by it. I only hope he won't be harmed, but the wolffolk likely have a target on him now for taking Jason.
