Derek's dumbness is different though, he can still be smart. (I tested it) but he loves being dumb more. It's his choice at the end of the day. He still does what he needs to I'm his life and he loves how he is. Stop criticising his life choices. Like he is gonna read really long posts without getting bored anyway :P

@20:15(for lack of nickname) That dose sound like a hard life. But I still don't think "dumbing down" like Derek is the right choice. If I'm allowed to be a bit colorful: Let's imagine the mind as a lake, and the owner of the mind to be a fisherman. Your mind (as you decribe) seems to be full of lively fishes (thoughts) that jumps around and make big waves. They rock the ship and fill it with water and fishes. You do get the fish you want, but with a lot of needless 'waste'. My idea of the "good" form of mind will be a peaceful lake with clear water and quite fishes. Where you (the fisherman) can swiftly get the fishes you want with accuracy of a sharp knife. And Derek's dumb mind will be a lake full of muck and unclear water, where it's just too much effort the find your fish and you might as well just go and buy a fish someone else caught. @speaks-without-breathing Derek dose have a blog, he might have uploaded some pictures of himself. I think he posted a link at one of his recent storys. Sorry for the long comment.
